From here, we’ll loop the island clockwise Right after crossing the bridge, as it’s the gateway to the island with the traffic here, it’s best to stay alert The road’s narrow, with signs posted here and there, so need to take care We’ve arrived at The “Komorebi” feels so nice “Komorebi” is the gentle sunlight through the trees The tomb of a chieftain, dating back 1,300 years 2 stone chambers here, the eastern one T-shaped, the western one L-shaped Please don’t climb on the “Kofun” The feature of this Kofun is A Goguryeo-style structure, rare to find in Japan L-shaped one here In the “walking Dead” this is exactly when a walker shows up and then, T-shaped Forget Zombie, it’s now just prime real estate for bees It’s time to drink Water in the bottle heats up in no time, the plan was grab cold drink every chance I get No point carrying a bottle then, is there? Got a tip for a good insulated bottle? Didn’t expect to see a FamilyMart here Turns out, that FM was the only convenience store on the Island Octopus? …Why though? Apparently, the island has a legend about an Octopus God 〜♪ This isn’t really how I pictured it Nope.. still not the vibe Uh…that looks like quite a climb 350m up So we turn left here, huh? wait, is this even a road? There it is Whoa, there’s heaps of them Signs on Notojima were impressively detailed there are heaps of spots like this Here is a Pheasant We’ve arrived at Check Point2 Wow, feels so cooool Octopus again This sprite really hit the spot The butterflies look tipsy from the heat Fishing spot There were a few people fishing that day too With calm waves and clear waters, Notojima is perfect for SUP We’ve arrived at Check Point3 We’ve arrived at Check Point4 Especially, here was so clam and clear We’ve arrived at Check Point5 Mate, can’t be droppin’ this peach As you can see, stacked with peaches like a Tokyo train at rush hour! Amazingly, it’s packed with 2 whole peaches from Nagano The parfaits here are all about going overboard Fair enough, that’s a seriously loaded parfait Didn’t notice till later, but wow, those peaches went quick that’s how fresh and juicy it is one after another, quenching dry throats and peeking out from beneath the peaches were Cheese Cake whipped cream vanilla ice cream their rice -flour chiffon cake already smashed it, but there was a canele on top I always thought caneles were a bit on the dry side but the canele here was moist and really tasty this peach parfait only around from summer into early autumn but in 2025, they’ll stop serving peaches by early Sep after that, they switch over to the fig parfait from Hodatsushimizu might even film a vid of me coming back for that fig yes, it’s super tasty they stacked a massive peach on there no peaches left, eh It was loaded up this much all that left now is the wreckage, haha Reckon I should’ve kept a slice of peach Looks like the customer earlier was torn between the peach and blueberry Just finished it off I’ve better get going or I won’t make it home in time, so, you can grab this seats Alright then, heading home with a full belly Cheers for sticking around right to the end
