🌸🌸 Nicchu Line Memorial Walkway 日中線記念自転車歩行者道#桜 🌸🌸

The Nicchu Line which connected Kitakata Station to Atsushio Station in Fukushima Prefecture was discontinued on April 1, 1984.
Today, there are approximately 1,000 weeping cherry trees (shidare-zakura) along the former railway tracks, creating a 3km long path. Each Spring, the Nicchu Line Memorial Walkway in Kitakata City transforms into a breathtaking cherry blossom tunnel of cascading pink flowers. Along the way, you will also see a preserved old steam locomotive.

喜多方駅と福島県の熱塩駅を結んでいた日中線は、1984年4月1日に正式に廃止されました。

現在、旧線路沿いには約1,000本のしだれ桜が植えられ、全長3kmの桜並木を形成しています。毎年春になると、喜多方市の日中線記念歩道は、息を呑むほど美しいピンク色の桜のトンネルへと姿を変えます。道中には、保存されている古い蒸気機関車も見られます。#pinkflower #springflower #きれい #喜多方市 #桜 #japan
