#15【一人旅VLOG】海の京都・伊根の舟屋に泊まる心ほどけるひととき | 天橋立 | 丹後鉄道

Today’s journey starts from Nishi-Maizuru Station in Kyoto. It is now 6:42 in the morning. First, I take the Tango Railway to Amanohashidate. After that, I head for Ine. While I’m waiting for the train, the switch to the journey slowly turns on. I’m excited about my first train trip in about three months since Okayama. The quiet interior, the flowing scenery, and everyday life are gradually receding. Ine and Amanohashidate are places I’ve always wanted to go to. I can finally see the scenery I’ve dreamed of. We’ll soon be running over the sea. It’s a special view that takes your breath away. I’m struggling to stand up straight… but now I have another view that I don’t want to forget. I wanted to see that view from the outside this time, so I got off at the next station, Tango-Yura. The triangular-roofed station building standing alone in the quiet scenery is impressive. About 20 minutes walk from the station, I arrived at a spot where I could see the iron bridge. The blue sea spreads out before my eyes, the mountains stretching in the distance, and the sky is filled with thin clouds. A single track runs through the middle of it. The train cuts through the wind and runs over the sea. It’s like a bridge connecting the sky and the sea. It was worth getting off the train and walking. Now, it’s time to go to Amanohashidate. This time the train was the Aomatsu, which has a cafe. It’s so comfortable that I want to keep riding the train while enjoying the scenery. But we arrived in no time. It was a luxurious train ride, 20 minutes from Tango Yura. We headed to “Amanohashidate View Land”, a 7-minute walk from the station. It is an observation amusement park located at the top of Mount Monju, and is a scenic spot overlooking Amanohashidate, one of the Three Scenic Views of Japan. The entrance fee is 1,000 yen. You can choose to take the lift or monorail to the top of the mountain. I took the lift without hesitation. I enjoyed a 6-minute walk in the air to the top of the mountain. I’m not good with high places, so I naturally gripped the handrail with strength. I could see Amanohashidate behind me. I wanted to see it with my own eyes as soon as possible. Ah, it was fun! Finally, Amanohashidate, famous as one of the three most scenic spots in Japan, appeared before my eyes. It is a beautiful landscape worthy of the name “Bridge to Heaven”. When I saw it in person, I was even more overwhelmed than I had seen in the photos. There are many playground equipment that families and children can enjoy, such as Ferris wheels, cycle cars, and go-karts. I want to ride something while I’m here, but I wonder if there is anything I can ride…? Lol The candy-colored Ferris wheel is cute 🍬 Okay, let’s ride that one! Before that, I hydrate. Today’s temperature is 34 degrees, so it’s really hot! Let’s go! A little scary. But the view is amazing! It’s exactly like cycling in the air. Just as I was getting into it, it’s over. The restaurants were just starting to open, so I decided to have an early lunch. On such a hot day, the only option is cold soba. It was just after opening, so I was the first one there. It looks refreshing. A summer taste, conger eel tempura soba. It goes down smoothly and goes great with the slightly sweet soup. The fried conger eel is light and crispy on the outside, but fluffy on the inside. It’s delicious with a slight saltiness and aroma. Thank you for the meal. Now, let’s take a walk around Amanohashidate. You can cross to the other side by boat, but I’m going to take a pleasure boat in Ine tomorrow, so I’ll walk here. But I put my parasol in the locker and it was too hot, so I borrowed a bicycle. It’s been a while since I’ve ridden a bicycle, but I was surprised that I could ride one. The breeze feels good! I couldn’t just pass by, the beach was too beautiful to stop in my tracks. I just stared at the sea without thinking about anything for a while. It has a completely different face from the Kyoto I’ve seen so far. It’s the same Kyoto, but how charming it is that it has such different expressions. I slowly drove for about 30 minutes and reached the other side. This side is quieter and even more peaceful. Water for now! Water! I was thinking of returning by boat if I got tired on the one-way trip, but… I’ll go on a bicycle on the way back! Bicycles are the best! Amanohashidate is the best!! Cool your body with a cold gelato. Mmm! So cold! The gentle sweetness of the black beans and the richness of the milk fill your mouth, giving you a comforting taste. You can relax while looking at the scenery. From Amanohashidate Station, take the Tankai bus to Ine. The journey takes 53 minutes, but the fare is only 400 yen. The inside of the bus is cool and comfortable. We got off at the “Ine Bay Tour – Hinode” stop. The sightseeing boat is crowded with many tourists. The sea is so beautiful! The seagulls “can’t stop, won’t stop” to eat the kappa shrimp crackers. Aren’t you guys going? We booked a rental accommodation that was renovated from a boathouse. The boat’s garage is left as it is, and the second floor is the living space. It is right next to the Ine Bay sightseeing boat dock. The room is a renovated space with all the facilities and appliances, and it would be a waste to stay alone. The view from the room. I’m confident that I could spend a whole day just looking at the ocean from my room. It’s a luxurious time just to watch the gently swaying water surface. I finally realized that I was here when I saw the scenery I had always dreamed of. I think I’ll be able to spend my time quietly and leisurely with the sound of the waves as background music. Although I only have a limited time, I want to carefully savor the time I spend in Ine. After taking a rest and going for a walk, it was so quiet that it was hard to believe that it was so lively just a moment ago. A manhole in Ine. It feels like it’s this time of day when there is no one around that you can really feel the atmosphere that Ine is supposed to have. Ine is a small fishing village located on the coast of the Tango Peninsula in northern Kyoto Prefecture, and its greatest attraction is the “boat houses” facing the sea. About 230 boat houses are lined up along the coastline of Ine Bay. The first floor is a garage for storing boats, and the second floor is a traditional building that was used as a fisherman’s residence, and the design has been passed down since the Edo period. The view of the boat houses blending into the waterside is truly wonderful, and it is no wonder that this beautiful fishing village is likened to the “Venice of Japan.” It’s time for dinner reservation, so we head to the restaurant. This restaurant has a high rating of 4.8 on Google. It is a Japanese restaurant renovated from a 167-year-old building. You can enjoy luxurious meals and courses, including local seafood and mountain produce as well as Kuroge Wagyu beef. First, a drink. I walked a lot today and it was hot, so it was even more delicious! Kuroge Wagyu beef and Kyoto vegetables on a teppanyaki plate Today’s sashimi Today’s fried food Today’s fish dish Sweets Even the sound of the food sizzling is a treat. Kyushu people have a sophisticated palate, so the sashimi was not surprising, but the carefully drawn knives and the beauty of the presentation were as expected, and I couldn’t help but stare at it. Overall, it was delicious, and it was a satisfying meal that made me feel the charm of the local area. Above all, I was impressed by the polite service that saw me off to the front door and the heartfelt hospitality. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the inn. The last bus has already left, so I take a leisurely stroll home. I walk slowly, thinking back on the scenery of the day. But the sea is so beautiful that I stop and am drawn in. Under the crimson sky, the heat has subsided completely, and I feel that it was a good day. In the evening, it becomes even quieter, and the beauty of Ine stands out even more. I got up early today, so I think I’ll get some rest early. See you tomorrow. Good morning. I’m going out for a morning walk. I have to leave Ine at 7:00 AM , so I start early. Ine is far away after all. It takes 8 and a half hours to get home by bus, train, and Shinkansen. The sea of Ine is beautiful today as well. There are lots of sea urchins. But it’s hot again today from the morning . I came to Yasaka Shrine, which is a 20-minute walk from the inn. When I travel, I always visit the local shrines. However, it’s pretty hard to do it in the morning. A calm morning in Ine overlooking the hills. It’s so luxurious to be able to see this view at the start of the day! After this morning, I can’t help but look forward to today. I aimed for opening time when there were still few tourists. I got a ticket and some Kappa Ebisen to give to the seagulls. I was excited to go around Ine Bay, which I was looking forward to the most. ♪ Okay, okay, I’m waiting, I’m waiting. There were only four people including me on this first trip of the morning! It was almost like we had it all to ourselves! Lucky! Sorry to keep you waiting, seagulls. I brought some snacks. I love seagulls. They’re so cute~ Let’s set sail! Everyone is facing the direction of travel and they’re so cute♡ It’s about time to do it♪I ate it, I ate it! Too cute!!! The others were scared and put it on the railing or threw it, but the seagulls were very good at eating and only picked up the Kappa Ebisen in their mouths. Most of the cats were gentle and took the bait in their mouths, but sometimes they were lively. Lol But they didn’t bite my hand, and I didn’t feel any pain. There was one flower-shaped cat. It was my first time experiencing something like this, and it’s not something you can do very often, so it was really fun. I think my travel enthusiasm was dancing. Before I knew it, I was so engrossed in the seagulls that I didn’t look at the scenery at all… I spent 20 minutes on the seagulls out of the 25 minutes required. Damn, we’re already there. Should I ride it again? No, I want to ride it, but I only have 3 and a half hours left, so I’ll give up. Ah, it was really fun! I went back to the inn and checked out. Finally, I burned the view from here into my memory. Now, I’d like to enjoy the remaining 3 hours as much as time allows. “You can drink Taiwanese tea at the boathouse” I would like to drink Taiwanese tea at the boathouse. I ordered green tea with yuzu (1,000 yen). There is a wide variety of tea leaves, and you can enjoy rare teas that are rare in Japan, and you can also purchase tea leaves by weight. Rather than a coffee shop, it’s a time to “quietly face the tea”. The drink is soft, and the citrus aroma that lingers pleasantly on the nose. The space of the shop is also special, adding depth and tranquility to the tea time. I thought I just dropped in on the way to my trip, but I never imagined it would be so rich… Another wonderful memory that will remain in my memory of the trip. Video recording is not allowed here, so I will introduce it with photos only. Old fishing equipment and historical photos are on display, and it is a spot where you can feel the history and life of Ine. The Aoshima seen from the boathouse was like a painting painted by nature. The time to go home was approaching, so I had to eat lunch soon. The shop I had planned to go to was temporarily closed, so I quickly went to this cafe. From the inside of the shop, which was renovated from a boathouse, there was a wonderful view of Ine Bay. The avocado was half frozen…is it because it was hot? Unfortunately, it didn’t suit my taste. I was saved just by being able to see this view. The popular INE CAFE was also temporarily closed, so I bought a soft serve ice cream at a shop in front of it. This time, many restaurants were closed, so it was a little disappointing that there were only a few places to choose from. Ine is a town of boathouses that stands on a calm seaside. Time flows slowly here, and it was a moment that quietly seeped into the depths of my heart. Ine’s boathouses were not built for tourism, but are homes where people have actually lived for generations. That’s why the sea and the houses are so close, and the scent of life still remains. I think that seeing and touching the “real life” that is not found in tourist spots makes you feel a sense of nostalgia and preciousness. It’s about time to return to reality. The sea seen from the bus window shone like a final gift. I will definitely come again. Thank you for watching.
