【岐阜県を観光しよう!】廃線を自転車で駆け抜けよう!岐阜の自然を感じ、古い町並みを散策し、夏の風物詩流しそうめんを体験!1泊2日で岐阜を満喫しよう!

Hello everyone! This time we’re going on a two-day, one-night trip to Gifu Prefecture. Please stay with us until the end♪ We’ve come to Kamagataki Falls. I’m going to try nagashi somen noodles for the first time in my life at Takichaya, a teahouse located at the entrance to the falls! It’s not open yet, so there’s no one here. There’s a big fish tank. There are a lot of fish swimming in the river. You can rent a fishing rod for 400 yen and take home up to 10 fish you catch for free! I forgot to make a reservation, so I came without one. Is this the reception? I asked the staff and they said they also sell same-day tickets, so I came at 9:00. I recommend making a reservation, as you may have to wait up to two hours without one. The last order is at 4 o’clock. Please note that even if you line up, you will not be able to enter after 4 o’clock. I strolled around until the shop opened. There were no staff there yet, but the shop is on the promenade to the waterfall, so there is no gate and you can enter. The roof looks like it would be blown off if a typhoon came lol Going through the building is the path that leads to the waterfall. What a cool view. A free rest area It’s like something from Ghibli. It’s 10 o’clock! We’re open! The lights are on inside the store! In addition to all-you-can-eat nagashi somen noodles, the menu also includes curry, fried chicken, and the local dish gohei mochi. They also sell frankfurters and grilled corn. They sell bottled juice chilled with cold water from the stream. They also sell vegetables and fruit next to it. Bottled juice is 300 yen, vegetables are 200 yen, and fruit is 500 yen. It’s a colorful and cute display. The owner seems to like ducks, as there are many duck-themed goods for sale. The money is put into this phone piggy bank. So cute♡ If you pay, they will cook the fish you catch using the fishing rod. They will make it into salt-grilled, deep-fried, sashimi, etc. Everyone is enjoying fishing. Some people were catching fish, but it looked difficult. There are two buildings, one with walls, The other is a fairly open building without walls. Counter seats facing the river. Nice!! Large table seats that families and groups can enjoy Waiting for our turn to be called We were able to sit at the counter seats facing the river! The all-you-can-eat nagashi somen noodles cost 1200 yen for adults, 700 yen for elementary school students, and 300 yen for infants. Adults start off with 400 grams of somen noodles, and adding more noodles is free. Adding more noodle sauce costs money. Wait for the noodles to flow. The water the noodles are flowing through is not from the river in front, but clean, cold water drawn from the stream. The noodles are flowing!! It’s amazing to be able to experience nagashi somen while looking at this view! Enjoy nagashi somen! Add all the condiments! You’ll want to drain the water well, as it will dilute the noodle soup. The noodles are thick for somen. It has a chewy texture and is delicious♡ Eat. Eat. I thought I might get bored of just somen noodles, so I ordered somen rice. It was delicious. I was getting bored of the regular noodle soup, so I bought some sesame sauce as an extra. The staff told me that it tastes better if I add a little chili oil, so I add some. Personally, I prefer sesame sauce, so I’m looking forward to it. It was delicious with the flavor of sesame and the spiciness of chili oil. I’ll eat it again. I’ll eat it. I’ll eat it. I’ll eat it. I was full after the first 400 grams, and even though it was all-you-can-eat, I couldn’t get a second helping. So 1200 yen might seem expensive. There are apparently four waterfalls at Kamagataki, so I’m going to go see them. They’re about 300 meters past Takichaya. I went to see all four, but I don’t personally recommend them that much, so I’ll just give you a quick introduction. This is Gyoja Falls, the closest waterfall to Takichaya. The mountain scenery is very beautiful. Once you pass through the torii gate, you can see Sannotaki. You can’t get very close. The other two waterfalls seem a little far away. Ninotaki is a rare waterfall that can be viewed from the promenade, overlooking the waterfall. You have to climb up those stairs to get to Ichinotaki waterfall!! After a long and difficult climb up the stairs, we arrived at the small Ichinotaki waterfall. The water of the waterfall is very clear and beautiful. If you have the time and energy, please go. I’ve finally made it to “Monet’s Pond”, which I’ve always wanted to visit! There’s nothing around lol Monet’s Pond is a small pond at the entrance to Nemichi Shrine. Lotus leaves float on the surface of the crystal clear water, and many aquatic plants grow underwater. The lake surface reflects the scenery like a mirror, making it very atmospheric and beautiful. Koi fish swim gracefully among the aquatic plants. It was originally an unnamed pond, but it looks like something from a painting by French painter Claude Monet! And so it eventually came to be known as “Monet’s Pond.” It certainly does remind me of Monet’s famous work “Water Lilies.” In the light rain, I gazed upon the graceful figure of the carp for a while. . . I read in a review that if you have high expectations, you’ll be disappointed because the pond is so small, I was fascinated by the beautiful lake surface and the graceful carp. If you’re in the area, please stop by. I wonder what the shrine is like? There’s no big building, just a small, cozy shrine. The main hall is protected by a sturdy roof. It is protected by a sturdy roof. The pond was not visible from the shrine due to the trees. Tonight’s accommodation is Nakaodaira in Okuhida Onsenkyo. The mountain hut-style building is a lovely inn. The grounds are rich in nature, The open-air bath has a great sense of freedom!!! The six baths are filled with hot spring water, and there are lots of hot spring deposits floating around! For dinner, we will introduce some popular restaurants in the hot spring town. Details about the accommodation are introduced on the sub-channel, so please take a look♪ We’ve come to Hida Furukawa. Hida Furukawa City Hall parking lotParking is free at the site. You can also use the trays for free. There are also tourist information pamphlets available. Let’s take a walk around the town! In the town square, there is a hall (fee required) that introduces the festival. The festival is held every April. The portable shrine used in the festival is on display in the square. It wasn’t a portable shrine, it was a taiko drum!! The festival is a national important intangible cultural asset. The white walls continue on into the distance. It seems to be the number one sake brewery in the world. Let’s go inside the shop. Watanabe Brewery started making sake in 1870, and has a history of over 150 years. There seem to be a lot of brands! Horai is apparently the most famous. There are also tours that take you through the brewery. You can even do a tasting for just 500 yen. If you like sake, be sure to stop by. It’s a cute, nostalgic building. You can also eat at the cafe, but unfortunately it was closed today. This building with stylish white walls and stained glass windows is a glass art museum. The sign is also stylish♡ What a lovely door☺ The admission fee seems to be 300 yen. Modern glass products from the end of the Edo period to the early Showa period are on display. Hida Furukawa is also famous as the town that appeared in the popular movie “Your Name.” Some people visit after seeing the movie. At Sakura Products Center, you can try making the “kumihimo” braids that appeared in the movie. There are many exhibition panels lined up. Oh, that’s the one I saw in the movie! ! Bracelets made from the braids are on sale. This is the Seto River that flows through the town. Willow trees line the banks of the Seto River, and carp swim in the waterway. White-walled storehouses continue to the end of the waterway. Perhaps the water in the waterway is fast, so it looks like the carp are having a hard time swimming… This composition was also featured in the movie. This is Hida-Furukawa Station. There is a tourist information center at the station, and tourist brochures, including those in English and Chinese, are available. The station is close to the center of town, so you can explore on foot. At the end of the bridge on the other side of the station is another location that appears in the movie. This view from the bridge is the same one that appears in the movie. I saw the movie twice, but didn’t remember that scene lol We had lunch at “Takumi” next to the city hall. There are many dishes using Hida beef, but the prices are reasonable, which is nice. When you think of Gifu, you think of Hida beef. I’ll order the Hida beef sukiyaki bowl! It’s here!! There’s a lot of meat on it and it looks delicious♡ In addition to Hida beef, it also contains mizuna, green beans, white onions, shiitake mushrooms, tofu, and more. It’s got a lot of meat in it, and it looks delicious♡ I’d like to eat it with rice after all. The sweet and spicy flavor of sukiyaki goes great with rice! It was delicious☺ I came to “Gattangoo,” an activity where you can cycle along the rails of an abandoned train line! You’ll need to sign a consent form. A rail bike with two bicycles firmly attached to a frame runs on rails. A staff member will help you put on safety gear. Ready to go!! Staff member: Please keep a slight distance of about 20 meters between you and the bike in front of you so that you don’t collide with it. We will ask you to keep a certain distance at the start, so please try to keep that distance as much as possible. This is a course where bears are likely to appear, so if you get too far away from the person in front of you, you’re more likely to encounter a bear, so please go in a group. The way there is uphill, and the way back is downhill. Go there, and the place where it says “Nitsuya” is the station. This is where you turn around. We’ll take a short break there, then turn the train around and go back downhill to reach this platform. It’s pitch black inside the tunnel, so these are emergency lights. Please use them if you get stuck. After the explanation, we started departing in order from the front! It’s time to depart! I’m looking forward to it!! There are two routes on Gattango. One is the valley course, and the other is the city course. This time, I took the valley course. It really stirs up my sense of adventure! Riding through a green tunnel. Feels great!! The name Gattan-go comes from the sound you hear when passing over this rail joint. A river flows to the right and the valley comes into view. It’s easy to ride a bike because there are no slopes. Unfortunately, it’s only drizzling today. If it were sunny, I think the green of the trees would be more vivid and beautiful. A tunnel comes into view ahead. Maybe I got too close compared to last time… I slow down. I enter the tunnel!! The bike lights turn on automatically. Once I leave the tunnel, I can see a red iron bridge. What a beautiful view. Another tunnel comes into view ahead. The cycling time (one way) is about 15 minutes. I’ve arrived at the turnaround station. On the way back, I’m in the front car, so I follow the staff’s guidance. Sliding down the slope is fun♪ I’m going back the way I came. The staff member is not on a bicycle, but on a motorbike. The rain has caused the river to rise in volume. I have to keep up so I don’t fall behind!! Wait! Wait!! The tunnel of trees is so beautiful. The sudden speed increase leaves me behind the staff member! What happened? Hey! Wait up!! Then it completely disappeared lol I felt a sense of responsibility leading everyone lol I could see the goal. I was able to return safely without encountering a bear. I’m back. It was fun, so I’d like to participate in the city course someday. I came to Hirayu no Mori in Okuhida Onsenkyo. This is a hot spring facility recommended by locals. The parking lot was full of cars, showing how popular it is. The bathing fee is 700 yen for adults, 500 yen for children, and 200 yen for towels. The shop seems to have a wide variety of products. Next to the food stand selling snacks and desserts there is an eat-in space. There is also an accommodation building The building is spacious. The outdoor bath was very spacious and had many tubs. The cloudy water in the indoor bath was also very pleasant, so I recommend it! I arrived at Gifu Station. What did you all think? I took a two-day, one-night trip to Gifu, but there are still so many other fascinating places to see! I’ll be introducing other places soon, so stay tuned!
