【釧路湿原】細岡展望台観光とノロッコ号乗車(車内探索) ~くしろ湿原ノロッコ号で釧路から塘路(とうろ)まで自由席/指定席で往復~
Trip to Eastern Hokkaido – Kushiro Edition Hosooka Observatory Kushiro Marsh Norokko Train Kushiro Marsh and Kushiro River Rent a car at Kushiro Airport First, we went to Hosooka Observatory and looked out over the Kushiro Marshlands. Then we headed to the hotel. We flew from Osaka to Haneda and arrived at Kushiro Airport at 14:00. This is the start of our 4-night, 5-day trip to eastern Hokkaido. This is my first time in eastern Hokkaido. I’m looking forward to it. There is a rental car counter when you exit the arrival gate. I’m renting a car for five days and plan to return it at Memanbetsu Airport. I rented a Kicks e-POWER. The weather is good, so it’s a refreshing drive. I’m heading to Hosooka Observatory, where you can see the vast Kushiro Marshland. JR Kushiro Shitsugen Station (20 minutes walk) is on the right Arrived at Hosooka Parking Lot Hosooka Visitors Lounge on the way to Hosooka Observatory Souvenirs, soft serve ice cream, drinks, etc. are sold here An observation deck located on the east side of the Kushiro Shitsugen Marsh You can see the meandering Kushiro River, Mt. Oakan and Mt. Meakan. The Kushiro Marsh is the largest marsh in Japan, covering an area of about 26,000 hectares. It accounts for about 60% of the total marsh area in Japan. The Kushiro Marsh, once an ocean, is home to waterfowl such as red-crowned cranes and Animals such as Ezo deer and red foxes live here. You can see Lake Takkobu. Now we are heading to the hotel Dormy Inn Premium Kushiro Many fishing boats are moored at the mouth of the Kushiro River We had dinner at Robata Renga ←The famous Sunset Highball In front of us is Nusamai Bridge, one of the three most famous bridges in Hokkaido. Tomorrow we will ride the Norokko train and enjoy the Kushiro Marshlands. Breakfast at the hotel Arrived at Kushiro Station at 10:30. The Norokko train leaves at 11:06 Ride round trip between Kushiro and Toro The Kushiro Marsh Norokko train has arrived It has a 35th anniversary headmark Leaving Kushiro at 11:06, arriving at Toro at 11:51. It’s a 45-minute train ride. You’ll ride in car 1, which has unreserved seats, until you reach Kushiro-Shitsugen Station. You can see the Kushiro-Shitsugen marshland from the left side of the train. Cars 2 to 4 are reserved seats. There’s a shop in car 2. There are still not many people on the train as it is 30 minutes before departure. There are toilets in cars 1, 2, and 3. Stamp → From Kushiro-shitsugen Station on the way, move to car 4 (reserved seat). You may encounter red-crowned cranes and Ezo deer that live in the Kushiro-shitsugen. A round trip between Kushiro and Touro Departing from Kushiro Station Crossing the Kushiro River Entering the Senmo Main Line, which connects Higashi-Kushiro Station to Abashiri This is Tennei Marsh. “Teneru” in Ainu means a wet road. You can see the Iwaboki water gate that divides the Kushiro River. This is the branch point between the artificial New Kushiro River and the old Kushiro River. You can go to Hosooka Observatory from this station. Hosooka Canoe Station is located very close to Hosooka Station. The river is murky because the riverbed is peat, and it stays this earthy color all year round. The Kushiro River is popular with canoe enthusiasts nationwide because it has no dams or weirs. They’re enjoying a canoe ride down the river. We’ve arrived at the last stop, Toro Station. 26-minute break around Toro Station. I’m heading back to Kushiro on the Norokko train departing at 12:17. On the way back I’m in car number 2. Stamp → On the way back I took a seat on the opposite side to the marsh. There was a Yezo deer! Ezo deer only live in Hokkaido Ezo deer were once on the verge of extinction Currently, there are about 720,000 of them living in Hokkaido We crossed the Kushiro River and are soon at Kushiro Station We received our boarding certificate

Return→ For lunch, we went to the bakery “Lefbon” at Kushiro Station. We went back to the hotel to get our car. From Nusamai Bridge, you can see Kushiro Port beautifully colored by the sunset. On the railing is a “Statue of the Four Seasons” that was made with donations from citizens. Thank you for watching.

大阪から羽田経由で釧路空港に行き、レンタカーで道東を巡ります。
まずは釧路観光。
細岡展望台では、釧路湿原全体を見渡すことができます。
ホテルは釧路川河口近くの「ドーミーインPREMIUM釧路」に宿泊。
夕食は「炉ばた煉瓦」でいただきました。
翌日11:06釧路発のノロッコ号に乗り、釧路から塘路(とうろ)まで自由席/指定席で往復乗車し、釧路湿原を満喫しました。
往復で異なる乗車証明書をいただきました。

くしろ湿原ノロッコ号何て、、素敵な名前の列車ですね。中もとても変わった又、素晴らしい作りですね。そして無茶苦茶広い湿原何ですね。流石、、北海道ですね。鹿はとても多く良く見たり,鳴き声聴きますが、エゾシカは見たことなく、一度見てみたいです。
