[Music] salam new What’s going on guys today I am here 
in the beautiful new Kurifu Resort and Spa African Village in Ethiopia Welcome The ride here was not too far from 
Addis Ababa Actually it took about uh about 30 40 minutes and uh it was a beautiful ride too along 
the way Got to see some beautiful scenery But here we are This is a newly built resort from Kuriftu 
and they offered me a night here It’s called the African Village Um maybe we’ll find some more 
out information out about it Uh but first of all I’m here a little bit early so I have to see 
if I can check in You can see it’s beautiful I think there’s going to be a really nice view 
And this is uh what you know fivear resort salam So uh this is gonna be like a little uh 
five-star resort experience for you guys and for me of course You know normally I don’t stay in 
fancy places I stay like a local But today we’re uh we’re going to live it up Look at these They 
built it like these old classic style African huts But obviously it’s going to be very uh 
new and updated So first of all uh check in mano namosa little welcome towel you know start off So checked in Yeah Now we’re going to go to see 
the room My friend Beza is helping me this way Yeah Look at this So we walk down this rail 
They have steps It’s a beautiful view which I’ll show you guys as well Yeah Addis Ababa Yeah 
Uh the whole view Addis Ababa Yeah This is the name the name is Kuriftu Africa village African 
village Kuriftu Africa village has 54 rooms Each rooms are the name of African country Ah okay 
So that’s why it’s called the African village Africa village So Africa has 54 countries 
and there’s 54 rooms Rooms Yes So this is Africa Each each room is named after a country 
So which country do I have your Algeria room Algeria Yeah Ah Algeria Very nice I never went 
to Algeria So today I’ll get to go to Algeria Also there is spa Oh there’s a spa Spa There’s 
more for massage Okay Okay International 1.6 m Oh okay Okay So indoor swimming pool Yeah Indoor 
swimming pool Very nice Yes Wow This is beautiful And there is the summit restaurant Okay Which 
comes for 20,000 persons Oh okay The open area Open area Both have the view The fountain view 
and city view Wow For like big event something like that Wedding No problem Look at this They 
got flowers laid all throughout This is the map of Africa Ah Oh that’s the Oh it’s made like 
the map of Africa Wow that’s amazing Okay 38 rooms This side room totally 54 rooms from those 
rooms 10 rooms are family rooms and 44 rooms are king rooms Okay Yes So which room do I have you 
Algeria Algeria is like a king room or king room King room Yeah King room for the king Yes King 
room King room for two For two people But only me Only one Yeah Yes This way Okay With a nice 
view This is one up to one One up to one For this side there are four rooms Algeria Angola 
South Africa This one Okay Very nice Look at these These are each room Yeah So this room have 
Algeria Ethopia Algeria Angola This one is South Africa Ah okay Okay So I’m this one Yeah For 
use Yes Right here Algeria Yeah So inside also have thing from Algeria Yeah there herages Ah 
but all rooms are made up of the adobus and we have the view of city Ah very nice Okay Yeah 
So here we go We’re going to enter inside I’ll show you guys what the room looks like Welcome 
Welcome Thank you Wow This is beautiful Amazing Look at this This is definitely a room for a king 
you know Wow This is actually I’ve been to a few of their resorts Uh they never had a room like 
this This is huge Look at this How big it is The bed is like a king-size They have a huge fireplace 
here This working fireplace Yeah Look at this Got the couches Got the two chairs Fireplace Ah very 
nice There’s a bar Okay The TV Okay All right And then so you have this here This one is there’s 
a Oh this is a mini bar here Okay Very nice And place to do some work Study for work Yeah There’s 
a bed heater also Oh bed heater Oh nice Electric electric blanket Very nice And then upstairs 
What is upstairs there is a chair Okay And seat and so you can see the view Oh let’s check 
this out Amazing guys This is one of the nicest rooms I’ve probably ever stayed in in all of my 
travels Look at this It’s like a little lounge And from here if you sit down you get a nice view 
of the whole Adisaba which I’ll show you guys Wow Amazing Sit and you can play in the gabata Ah 
this is a game Yeah gabata Gabata It’s like a Ethiopian game Yeah Ah very nice Interesting I 
don’t know how to play it but maybe I can learn Thank you Vza Yes Thank you Very nice So you can 
look over here Yeah And you see the whole room Wow Amazing And then the bathroom is downstairs 
right okay Let me go see the bathroom They give you a scale to check your weight Make sure you 
ironing board Some robes right here As you can see Kurifu Resort Yeah Some extra pillows and 
blankets Safe box Nice bathroom Hair dryer Look at the sink Sink Nice toilet Beautiful rain shower 
Amazing Beautiful bathroom Beautiful room guys I mean I am very impressed It’s the nicest room I’ve 
stayed in Oh man This bed is so comfortable man And honestly this room is insane Look at this 
I’m just laying and I look up at this beautiful artwork This roof designed like a old hut All of 
the artwork and the symbolism that resembles not just Algeria but um you know it’s like a tribute 
to Africa basically That’s why it’s known as the African village And you have a taste of all of 
the 54 countries here which uh that’s why it’s called the African village It makes sense It’s uh 
it’s beautiful guys I mean they’ve left nothing And you know like usually in hotels in Ethiopia 
you won’t have outlets but they have outlets everywhere so you can plug in get your work done 
Um there’s a TV with a smart TV box some books if you want to read and uh just a beautiful view 
It’s so peaceful up here too Um we’re a little bit high on the mountains And the weather is a 
little bit cooler than down in Adis And honestly uh the air just feels so fresh and clean I’m 
going to show you guys outside now We’re going to walk around the resort a little bit But just 
uh just fascinated by this room Like I said I’ve been to their other resorts in Ethiopia and the 
rooms were also very beautiful but not this big and grand Like this is like literally a room for 
a king So along with the beautiful view you have all of these beautiful flowers and plants and it 
makes it so green and it smells so beautiful when you walk through here Everything is just perfect 
They built it so nicely And when did they finish this project when uh this year 2025 this one yeah 
20 It’s brand new January the graduation that is January 4th Oh okay So it’s January It’s very 
new Yeah it is new Oh okay Okay So we’re going to go check out some of the facilities Uh I’ll 
show you guys what the the resort has So the pool is a complimentary compliment Okay And it’s a 
indoor Yeah Indoor So it’s not So it won’t be too cold Not cold It’s normal It’s normal Indoor Okay 
Very nice Going to go see the pool right now See So can can you use it now or it’s still 
h they’re finishing it Okay Very nice So if you see around the pool they even 
have pictures from different African tribes and different countries Everything in this 
village resembles uh different countries in Africa So every every thing has a meaning Even the 
restaurant named 1963 that’s the year the African Union was established Yeah So every single thing 
has a meaning here So it might just look like beautiful artwork but there’s a meaning behind all 
of it which is actually what makes it really nice too You know it has like a real sentiment attached 
to it And generally totally there are nine meeting halls Nine meeting halls Yes From those meeting 
halls as the name of African country like this one is a Panaffrican heart This one this is a 
panaffrican halate for one person 1,000 person 1,000 person 1,000 person This is panafrican 
hull which accommodates or which accommodates for 1,000 person Yeah I show it now Okay Yeah Very 
nice This is multi-purpose meeting halls Ah okay Okay So they have many meeting halls So you can 
do like conference and for businesses Okay Also there is content for artificial Yes Okay Very nice 
So these are their conference halls and meeting Pan Uh this is the Panaffrican Hall Accommodates 
1,000 people Very nice Salam You can see it’s very large So if you ever have a meeting or conference 
that takes place here in Adisaba this is a great place to rent out Also the the meeting halls 
are named after famous famous African leaders So Jata Salassi aham kamakuma from Ghana Nice Nice 
That’s cool Just to kind of dedicate the to to the leaders right of Africa Yes Yes Because this is 
Africa village It each names are the products Yes Because this Africa village Everything has 
a meaning Yeah Yeah Meaning Let’s see the highly salassi hall Oh I know This is what the conference 
hall looks like It took eight years to complete this project Amazing Finish it for It looks really 
nice for 8 years Yeah Yeah They did a great job Great And they use all the local material like 
you can see all products are from from Africa From Okay Very nice From Ethiopia Everything 
from Ethiopia and Africa Yeah [Music] Very nice So that’s that’s great that they helped like 
local businesses Oh this is a this is like a map of Africa right Like this this whole stone thing 
is shaped like a map of Africa Africa It’s very cool And there’s a fountain also Yeah Running 
water Yes We’re going to go to the platform there where you can see the view of everything 
Beautiful view too Yes And what about you Beza how long have you been working you you worked in 
Karifu before or yes Yes I work on here in the Dra Z In Dra Ah so now you’re working here Yeah You 
like it here Yeah It’s nice Yeah Yeah Yeah So you work for Kurifu for a long time Long time How many 
years yeah One year Only the date is one year But this one now Ah okay Very nice But you’re doing 
great job brother Thank you You’re very helpful And your English is very good Good Because I 
have bacheloriz Ah very good So you’re very educated Yeah This one is known as Summit Summit 
restaurant on the top of the mountain on the top of the mountain Restaurants have the both have 
the view This is fountain view and this side is also fountain view and the city view And this is 
this is the restaurant on the ground There’s one it accommodates 1,000 person And also this open 
area for 1,000 totally 2,000 for 2,000 It’s very wide and very amazing place Especially at night 
the light is very amazing Ah yeah I’m excited to see it at night Yeah So it’s a great place to 
do like events weddings different things like that And then you have this amazing view of the 
whole Adisaba Which way is which which one is like Ble which way is Ble the big buildings there Okay 
Okay So that’s like downtown Adis You can see all city 180° That’s amazing Yes So what a beautiful 
view Yeah it’s like alo jungle area also for mine Ah this is also Ku it’s part of the property 
Very nice This is the look like that This is what the inside of the restaurant Yeah the seat 
absolutely So this is the summit restaurant Yeah the also looks like that Beautiful Yeah Beautiful 
This very nice restaurant So this one seats a thousand people Yeah it it accommodate for one 
and it also has a nice local product laser which when you make those project all materials are 
local local products Yeah Amazing Gymnasium Gymnasium Wow They have a gym too guys which I’m 
going to use for sure Yeah Very nice gym Yeah You have the treadmills But this is compliment This 
is complimentary also Have the machines have the squatting bar medicine balls bikes Very nice They 
have all the bathrooms and showers When someone is coming we give the welcoming like lemon welcoming 
drink Yes This is where they do the massaging No this is a rest area Just a rest area Massage to 
take the rest After you get a massage then you can take a rest Very nice for the name Ah named after 
all the massage class Ah so they do the massage class Oh they teach how to do the massage Very 
nice And you can also get massage as well And if you stay here you get 25% discount for the massage 
right this is couple berry massage Nice Very nice They also have a couple’s massage as well This one 
is morbas This is the luxurious luxury bus Oh this is the the Moroccan bath Yeah Yeah Very nice When 
you go to the another or other resort you can get this kind of foria the Morocco is luxury for only 
this or as well as in Africa this is the best yes in Ethiopia Yeah Ethopia we cannot get another 
resort this kind of ah with the Moroccan bathor only in Morocco Yeah It is nice It’s very nice 
Yeah Amazing This is the sauna Very nice Okay Salam Everybody here is so kind man The 
staff is so accommodating so welcoming They’ve literally rolled out the red 
carpet for your boy So and also man it’s so peaceful up here So nice 
Hey what’s up bro good Okay Okay So I’m just enjoying it man Just being 
around in this no and no salam Holo salam Hello So this is the restaurant that’s in service 
right now It’s known as the 1963 restaurant because that is when the uh African Union was 
established So because this is the African village like I said everything has a meaning 
So they have a nice bar They have a traditional uh coffee ceremony as well Place to sit down 
and get some food But the good thing is you can also get room service You can also get room 
service and order it to your room So [Music] [Music] Okay And the and the chicken tips Uh and we drink 
uh uh no chili Fruit juice Sal Fruit juice Mango or mango Okay Mango Okay Uh you say the uh 
chicken tips Spicy Okay Spicy Okay One thing about Ethiopia is the fresh juice is on another 
level man I’m telling you Like this right here is literally fresh mango They just did it right 
here I could see them doing it in front of me And I’ve tried fresh juice all over the 
world but I feel like in Ethiopia it’s the best And I’m not sure if it’s because of 
their fruit the quality of fruits that they have but it’s just so good The food 
has arrived Look at this China tips Nice and smoking You can see the fire on 
the bottom Beef chunks with some inetta Of course have to have ina Thank you 
Namaste And you know you can come here just to eat for the day hang out use the 
facilities You don’t have to stay here if you don’t want to but that’s on you Let’s 
take some inetta So basically this is how you eat Ethiopian food You take the inetta 
and grab the pieces of tibs like that Just [Music] Oh my god Wow The beef is so tender but on the outside there’s 
a bit of like a crunchiness to it I don’t know how they get it to do that but on the inside 
it’s so tender Then they put the peppers on and they bring it out nice and hot The sauce has 
a little bit of spiciness to it but not too much but has the special Ethiopian unique flavors 
of their spices The food was amazing guys And they also have a outdoor area here as well So 
you can sit down and eat outside and get this view as well I just chose to sit inside cuz it 
was the music was nice But man this place is uh they do everything like perfectly I really 
would like to point out some flaws but haven’t found any So far everything’s been great 
And mind you this place just opened so it’s just only going to get better 
you know as they keep ironing it out You know sometimes I think to myself like “Oh man 
traveling and editing and having to work on the road and you know getting sick on the road.” And 
traveling is not easy And a lot of times people think like what what I do or what we do is easy 
It’s absolutely not easy It takes a lot of effort a lot of work But I mean today I was walking 
through this resort and I see the people that are hard at work here doing all these different jobs 
like cleaning cooking you know the guy who helped me out just constantly running up and down and 
having to to work Then I’m like man I am so lucky that I get to do this And then on top of that I 
get these amazing experiences at the same time And uh that’s why perspective is so important like 
traveling gives me that perspective and I get to see like wow like I mean there’s people 
who work way harder than I do they smile and they go on with their lives so it’s like 
yeah it just kind of humbles you you know at the same time just want to show you guys 
how peaceful it is here at night it’s crazy I mean you can’t see much cuz there’s 
not much light but try to show you guys on my other camera what it’s like out 
here and The view is beautiful Hold on It is just so peaceful here at night Man I 
slept like a baby Just woke up It’s around 8:00 a.m I’m going to go get breakfast and 
I’ll show you guys what what they serve for breakfast But man shout out to this room That 
was some of the best sleep I’ve had in months I mean you know as you get to my age sleep starts 
to get a little bit more tougher to get and more important cuz you need it you know and the lack of 
lighting noises nothing disturbing me at night and the really comfortable bed I slept like a baby 
man There’s one thing about walking in Ethiopia especially in Adis you know Adisaba is one of 
the highest cities above sea level and I get winded so fast But that’s why Adis or Ethiopia 
produces some of the best long-distance runners because they have to run in these altitudes 
And man it does make a difference [Music] Let’s sit out here in the sun you know Look at the view while I have 
breakfast Let’s do that They gave me some scrambled eggs some bread some 
fresh watermelon juice which I’m excited for And they give you like a nice spread of uh 
some peanut butter fresh jams and honey The bread is so fresh here in Ethiopia I love this 
bread Everything is fresh and organic You know the quality of food in Ethiopia honestly it’s 
unmatched And here in Kurifu they do such a good job And by the way if you’re staying here 
this breakfast is complimentary and it’s really good I’ve had such a good time here guys I’m 
sad to leave today but you know got to make moves That’s what I do Constantly move around
