The JALAN Editorial department has picked out eight facilities. Aren’t there many people who would like to easily enjoy a hot spring in their daily living area or while traveling? This time we will introduce day-trip hot spring facilities in Chiba Prefecture. The first is a hot spring facility that boasts an open-air bath with a panoramic view of TOKYO Bay. JFA YUME Field MAKUHARI ONSEN YURA NO SATO. It opened in 2020 in a corner of MAKUHARI Seaside Park. The most popular bath at the venue is the open-air observation bath, which offers a panoramic view of TOKYO Bay. If the weather is good you can also see Mt. FUJI from there and the view is spectacular. There are also various other types of baths available, including high-concentration carbonated hot springs, jet baths, and electric baths. You can also enjoy an auto-loyly sauna there. The rock bath, which requires an additional fee, hosts an attraction event called “GENMU” every day. The entire room is filled with nano mist. You will feel as if you are in the clouds. It has a skin-beautifying effect and refreshes your mind and body. JFA YUME Field MAKUHARI ONSEN YURA NO SATO. The second is a facility where you can enjoy spectacular Umi views and skin-beautifying hot springs. TATEYAMA ONSEN Senri no Kaze. The hot spring that gushes out on the premises is a sodium bicarbonate spring. This is a rare spring quality in the BŌSŌ region. It is slightly alkaline and is said to be gentle on the skin. You can enjoy a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean from the indoor and outdoor baths. At “AWA NO MORI,” where you can cool off after your bath, you can sit on a chair and meet up after your bath. There you can enjoy free drinks and ice cream, allowing you to relax and cool down. There are also short stay plans available that include a private hot spring and a private room. It’s the perfect day trip option for when you want to take it easy. TATEYAMA ONSEN Senri no Kaze. The third is a facility where you can relax in nine types of bedrock baths and eight private baths. NODA ONSEN HONOKA. There is a large public bath with a variety of baths, including an open-air bath. The eight private baths were completed two years ago, in the summer of 2022. In the private bath, you can enjoy the open-air amber-colored TSUBOYU made from a mixture of hot spring water and groundwater. Three of the eight rooms also have a sauna and a cold bath. A separate fee is required for the private bath. Nine types of bedrock baths are available free of charge. You can enjoy it all for just the bath fee. There is a dining area where you can enjoy a variety of menus, a manga area, a rest area, a kids’ space, and more. There are plenty of facilities available other than the baths. This is a facility where families can spend a relaxing day. NODA ONSEN HONOKA. The fourth is a facility where the Pacific Ocean stretches out in front of the large public bath. Kamogawa Grand Hotel. This facility is scheduled to reopen in March 2023. In the large open-air bath, you can enjoy the hot springs while looking out at the Umi. The large public bath is also equipped with a sauna and a rock bath. There is no time limit during business hours, so you can take your time. There are also three private open-air baths. Non-guests can also use it for an additional fee. We also recommend a slightly more luxurious day trip plan that includes a bath and lunch. Kamogawa Grand Hotel. The fifth is a facility in the MAIHAMA area where you can enjoy hot springs and saunas. SPA & HOTEL MAIHAMA EURASIA. There is a natural hot spring that springs from 1,700 meters underground. There are seven types of baths and three types of saunas available in the separate men’s and women’s baths. The open-air baths include hot spring baths and reclining baths. What makes this bathhouse special is the wide selection of slightly unusual bathtubs. An attraction bath that provides a massage effect. Caldarium is a steam bath where aromatic steam spreads. A view sauna where you can enjoy a panoramic view of MAIHAMA Resort. There are a variety of hot spring bathing facilities available. Try out the Dome Bath Hammam, a marble bath modeled after a Turkish steam bath. The bath is only available to men on Wednesdays. All other days of the week are available for women only. SPA & HOTEL MAIHAMA EURASIA. The sixth is a facility where you can soak in the bath while watching the planes. Soranoyu Spa Resort. It takes 10 minutes by free shuttle bus from Narita Airport. The hot spring contains a lot of metasilicic acid and bicarbonate ions, giving it a smooth texture. From the open-air bath on the rooftop, you can see the planes up close, which is quite an impressive sight. There is also a sauna and a bedrock bath using six types of stones. There is also a wide range of relaxing options available, including hot yoga and beauty treatments. There is also a capsule hotel on-site, making it convenient for staying overnight before or after your trip. You can also relax in the dining area or at the cafe and bar which has 8,000 manga books. Soranoyu Spa Resort. The seventh facility is close to the interchange and outlet mall, making it easy to stop by before or after fun. SHISUI ONSEN YURA NO SATO. The hot spring water, which springs from 2,000 meters underground, is packed with elements that provide excellent heat retention. In the open-air bath, you can enjoy a bath while gazing at the lush rural scenery that spreads out before you. There is a wide variety of indoor baths available, including highly concentrated carbonated springs and electric baths. There is also an auto-loyly sauna, a cold bath, beauty treatments and body care. After your bath, there are plenty of facilities to relax in, including a rest area, a manga corner, and dining areas. SHISUI ONSEN YURA NO SATO. The last facility is a hotel located on the KUJUKURI coast. Spa & Resort Kujukuri Taiyo no Sato. This is a hotel that can be used by non-guests for day trips. The large communal bath offers a variety of baths, including a jet bath and an open-air bath where you can feel the sea breeze. You can enjoy the dark brown hot spring water in the cypress bath and rock bath. There is also a rock bath and sauna on site. There is also an observation swimming pool on the rooftop that is open only in the summer. The facility also boasts gourmet food made with extremely fresh seafood sourced directly from the local fishing port. Guests can enjoy seafood barbecue at ISARIBITEI, or Italian restaurant Shiinoki. Spa & Resort Kujukuri Taiyo no Sato. I introduced eight facilities.
