Hi everyone, it’s day 18 from Fukuoka to Tokyo by bike. We’re Bryan and Sébastien, two bike travelers committed to a good cause: Offering a little escape to children in hospitals in France thanks to our world tour by bike. After Europe and Asia, we are now in Japan. This morning, we woke up under the curious gaze of a family of white egrets and a grey heron, or rather, we were the ones discreetly observing them. We then got back on the road before stopping to enjoy two typical Japanese dishes : a yakiniku and a tonkatsu, a real treat. In the afternoon, we made a stop at Okayama Castle. It stands right across from Korakuen Garden, one of the most beautiful in Japan. We then continued cycling in search of a bivouac spot to shelter us from the rain of the next few days. Nous nous sommes réveillés en douceur sous l’œil discret des aigrettes, puis nous avons repris la route vers de nouvelles découvertes.
Nous avons fait une pause gourmande avec deux incontournables de la cuisine japonaise : yakiniku et tonkatsu, un vrai délice 🍱
Dans l’après-midi, nous nous sommes arrêtés au château d’Okayama, juste en face du sublime jardin Korakuen, classé parmi les trois plus beaux du Japon 🏯
