Narooma ULTIMATE Travel Guide! | What to do, where to eat, where to stay

[ Narooma travel guide | NSW Austraila ] [Music] Welcome to Narooma New South Wales In this Australia travel vlog we’re going to discover Narooma This is your ultimate Narooma travel guide We’re going to share what to do, what to eat and where to stay in Narooma So if you’re planning to put Narooma on your travel bucket list Keep watching [Music] This is Australia Rock It’s one of the big landmarks in Narooma And as you can see the hole in it is shaped like the map of Australia So it’s a really interesting rock formation And I love that you can see the ocean behind it [Music] If you walk just past Australia Rock you come to this rocky outcrop Which gets heated up in the afternoon light And the seals just love coming here for a sunbake They’re just preening themselves and enjoying the sunshine It looks like this seal has found a perfect warm spot on the rocks here And just having a nice little sunbake This is so cool that we are so close to seals I didn’t expect them to be right up close to us Oh my goodness it’s so cute Hey little guy They are still wild animals So I’ll keep a respectful distance [Music] Off in the distance behind me you can see Montague Island So it’s about 9 kilometers off the coast of Narooma It’s a nature reserve And 49 different species of fauna have been recorded on the island Including penguins and seals And you can even snorkel with the seals there Another feature of Montigue Island is the lighthouse Which was built in 1881 [Music] Whale watching is a very popular thing to do in Narooma And there are two whale watching seasons From May to June and September to mid November If you’re looking for the best place to see whales in Narooma There’s plenty of vantage points all along the coast We’re at Carter’s Beach Lookout Which is one of the most popular spots [Music] When you’re in Narooma make sure your first stop is Southbound Escapes It’s right in the heart of town You can’t miss it It’s under the lighthouse where the old visitor information sign used to be And Sally and the team have a wealth of information They can tell you all about the area The great places to go They’ve got tours They can You can hire ebikes here Which we highly recommend And they also have the Hub Espresso Bar & Deli Which is where you can get a coffee or a light meal One of the best ways to explore Narooma is by ebike We hired ours from Southbound Escapes And loved how easy it was to cruise along the coast Take in the stunning views And even spot some of the local wildlife along the way This area is also known as the nature coast And there’s wildlife everywhere We were just going on a cycle And we just happened to see a seal just frolicking in the water So awesome [Music] Oh that’s so cool There’s two of them Okay I don’t know if you can see the perspective in the video But these stingrays are like this big They’re massive [Music] Mills Bay Boardwalk is one of the best things to do in Narooma And it’s popular with both walkers and cyclists [Music] The traditional owners of the land were the Walbunga people of the Yuin nation When you’re doing the Dalmeny to Narooma Story Track It’s really good to stop at the various lookouts Because there are story boards that share the history of the area Both of the traditional land owners as well as the colonialised times It’s just really fascinating to stop, have a read and reflect on the history of the area [Music] When you’re in Narooma you have to do the ebiking It is just an awesome experience just going from beach to beach Jay and I are avid cyclists And we’re really converting to the idea of getting ebikes It’s just so fun and just so easy It’s such a great trip [Music] Bar Beach on the northern side of Wagonga Inlet is a great place to go for a swim So there’s an enclosed beach area And if you’re a little bit cautious about going into the surf This is the perfect spot for you So I think it’s perfect for families And if you’re really lucky you might even swim with a seal [Music] One of the highlights of the ebike ride was stopping in at the Local Dalmeny It’s the perfect place to take a break, grab a coffee and enjoy the relaxed coastal vibes Before heading back to Narooma After working up an appetite cycling along the stunning Narooma coastline It’s time to sample some of the best food in Narooma Nestled in the heart of the Australia oyster
