  1. Correction the City walls are 7 metres high in places, less in others.

  2. As usual, we enjoy your videos. But this one stands out. It was very in depth and full of interesting information and history. Thank you gentlemen, we appreciate the work you put into the videos.

  3. I don't know what you do in the rest of your life but you are a superb guide and explainer-of-history — thanks as always for a lovely time 💚💙💜

  4. Another outstanding overview of remarkable city. Each time I watch a new video I feel like I'm journeying back in time in the company of old friends. You guys are amazing!

  5. I love all the beautiful old buildings in England. The Chichester cathedral is magnificent although I wasn't keen on the modern tapestries. I couldn't work out what they were depicting. I'm afraid I'm a real traditionalist. Thanks for the interesting tour.

  7. Enjoyed seeing that the custodians of the cathedral display so many layers of history in that magnificent place. This town was blessed with a variety of talented craftsmen over many centuries. Glad to see the beautiful quality that is apparently still valued. Thanks for the tour and history lesson. Topnotch 😊

  8. My wife and I love Bosham. If you walk back from the water front there's a lovely hotel called the Millstream. It's away from all the crowds that you tend to get on a sunny day and you can sit at a table on the lawn area out front with a drink and a light meal and watch the world go by.

  9. Another relaxing video. I love travelling around Britain (and the world) with you! As a non-British person, your channel has introduced me to some wonderful British places. I use your videos while planning trips to the UK.

  10. As someone who lives in Chichester I found this very interesting, as whilst I knew a number of historical facts about Chichester, I learnt some new things too! Bishops Palace Garden is definitely worth visiting in the summer, so many wonderful and colourful blooms. I've shared this video with some international friends so they can see my home town 🙂

  11. In the summer of 2023 we were visiting the Bishop's Palace Gardens and it was beautiful and very peaceful! We were in Chichester for only 1 day on our tour around South England and Wales.

  12. I've known Chichester since 1961, worked there in 1970's but I never knew there was so much history and so many interesting walks, first time I've seen the waterside too. The detail and pace of your video is perfect. 👍

  13. I was born and bought up in Chichester, near Summersdale and what was then Graylingwell hospital,it's strange to see how much the town centre has changed.

  14. Excellent video and research. A couple of other points Richard FitzAlan was the 3rd Earl of Arundel or 10th using the previous numbering scheme. Bosham is also rumored to be King Harold's burial place. From my research I believe former USA President Joseph Biden's 5th Great Grandfather believed to be Joseph Silverlock died in Bosham in 1780 aged around 40. His daughter Ann married a James Biden in 1762 in Bosham Church.

  15. I grew up in Chichester, Went to Chi high for boys. In the time of Mr Casey and Mr Austin as head master. I have moved away due to work but, I have to say its my favourite place and one day hope to go back to live.

  16. I grew up in East Wittering and Chichester until leaving for New Zealand in 1975. I've never been back to the UK since, so this was a nice trip down memory lane. If only you had turned your camera across the road at the old cinema you would have seen 38 East Street the then home of The West Sussex County Club. Now, I've no idea what it has become. Thanks for the memory.

  17. Thank you so much for this video. I enjoyed all the history and learned so much, your time in researching information must have been extensive. The buildings, houses plus churches were beautiful to see. Your camera work is excellent as it enables us to see things and not rushing past. I now know why this was one of my Dad's favourite places to visit. Thank again 💕🇦🇺

  18. No matter how many cathedrals we’ve seen in our travels and tagging along on your adventures, each one is a jaw dropper. Chichester is a stunner.

  19. Chichester is gorgeous , another lovely place to visit is Midhurst, around 10 miles north of Chi, a beautiful little town ❤

  20. Hi Simon and Will. We recently discovered your charming and informative videos and are huge fans. We live in Oregon and haven't been able to travel lately due to financial constraints. Your films really help appease our travel bug. There seems to be a steadily decreasing number of ones we haven't seen. I am curious if you have or would ever consider making a video about everything that goes into putting one of these videos together from deciding where you're going to film next to all the plans involved, getting the beautiful video footage, gathering so much history about each town/village, the scripting, editing, etc. We have watched some of the other travel videos others offer and, while some are okay, we haven't found any that surpass what you two put out. We have told many of our friends about you. Thank you, well done and keep up the good work!
