Brompton Travels: Uruma, Okinawa 11 Feb 2024

Spent a lovely day exploring Uruma, Miyagi Island and Ikei Beach in Okinawa. Had noodles in a hut in the hills prepared by a sweet obasan; coffee at J cafe chatting with the cool lady boss and local Okinawans; and got a tip on the famous Okinawa salt factory, Nuchi Masu – a sea salt containing 21 minerals.

If I had to pick, this Day 3 ride of our four-day Okinawa #biketouring trip would be my favourite. A nice route with both sea and hills and some pretty challenging slopes at some points. But still doable (I had a 7kg bag and the headwinds were strong 😍 ).
