I ride from the border between Namibia and South Africa, to Steinkopf, in South Africa.
South Africa is really insane, as I ride from one of the most extraordinary lodges I ever stayed at (a place where I could not pay for anything), to another extraordinary lodge, where the hosts give exceptionally low prices to cyclists and backpackers, and where the hosts go as far as creating a room out of nowhere, in order to be able to host cyclists when their guest house is full.

@Kino – You're missing the best parts of South Africa – Go Durban from Springbok, then take the coastline through Natal, Eastern Cape and Western Cape to Cape Town (it adds some extra distance) but worthwhile on non-return
