Cycle! Nepal🇳🇵 To japan🇯🇵 by bicycle || S2 E65 || World Tour || japan Vlog

Join me as I begin an exciting 5-day cycling adventure across Okinawa Island, Japan, with my new friend Susant! While he rides a motorbike, I explore this stunning island on a bicycle, starting from Naha Wokasa and heading toward Nago. Our first-day destination is Onna, 48 kilometers away.

A Glimpse Into Japan 🇯🇵

Japan is a captivating country in East Asia, rich in history and culture. It comprises 47 prefectures and 7 regions, with Okinawa being its southernmost prefecture. The time zone is 3 hours and 15 minutes ahead of Nepal, and the currency is the Japanese Yen (JPY), with 1 yen equating to about 0.68 Nepali rupees. Okinawa’s capital, Naha, is known for its unique culture, a blend of Japanese and Ryukyuan traditions.

Japan’s charm lies in its orderliness and peace. Roads are incredibly clean and well-maintained, with small, picturesque houses dotting the landscape. Surprisingly, there’s almost no one walking on the streets—most people prefer traveling by car. Convenience stores like 7/11 and Lawson are everywhere, offering snacks, meals, and essential supplies, making them a cyclist’s best friend.

Our First Day on the Road 🚴

We started our ride at 12 PM, enjoying the smooth, peaceful roads of Okinawa. Cycling through this serene environment was a surreal experience, with no crowds or traffic in sight. The island’s natural beauty, coupled with its well-organized infrastructure, made the journey unforgettable.

By 5 PM, we reached our campsite in Onna, where we paid 1,000 yen to set up our tents for the night. Since free camping isn’t allowed in Japan, staying at designated sites is essential. After setting up our tents, we enjoyed a quiet evening under the stars and prepared for the next leg of our journey.

Stay tuned as we explore more of Okinawa’s breathtaking scenery and uncover the hidden gems of this peaceful island!
