Riding from Beppu city to Oita city along the inland sea

I rented a Giant Escape hybrid bicycle from the Giant dealer in Beppu. The ride from Beppu to Oita City was about 11km. There are slight inclines and there was a light breeze.
Beautiful ride.
There were several warning signs regarding tsunami evacuation. The sign shows your elevation above sea level. Living in a part of Canada that does not have powerful earthquakes, for me, the signs were really noticeable.
This is still a beautiful part of the world that I would like to live in.
