OMG! What The Heck Did I Just Order In Korea!? (Bike Touring Korea #9)

Wow, I did not mean to order what I did, that’s okay though, I tried it and ate it all!

This video picks up from the last episode. I ran out of water and so I dipped into a small neighborhood and saw some guys hanging out in front of their house. They were nice enough to give me some water. While there, a nice guy let’s me get a look at his get-away home.

I then made it into Gangwon State. I had a funny moment there while trying to get a picture in front of the sign. The first two people turned me down! 😆 I had a good laugh over it. Finally, a couple of passersby stopped and snapped a photo for me!

Overall, it was another beautiful day cycling through Korea. From where this video ends, I’ve got another 120km to the finish line! Will I make it!? of course I will!

More to come from the Bike Touring South Korea series.

  1. 떡복이 소스는 물을 버리고 넣었어야 해요.
    선지 해장국은 영양가가 높아요.
    외국인 알레르기가 있는 분들이 있어요.

  2. Korean people are especially kind of you because you speaks english and you are western guy. (looks like an american man)
It is true that there are few racists in korea. Most people are kind but not everybody.
    Enjoy great korean trip.

  3. That boiling soup Hae Jang Gook is a breakfast hangover soup. Sun Ji is coagulated pig 🐖 blood 🩸 😅

  4. 이 사람은 한국을 떠나면 한국음식은 좋지 않다 말하겠어. 😢 정식 한국 음식을 소개해주고 싶다

  5. Hi, if you want to talk to Koreans, it's better to start with a word, not a full sentence. Once you start with a full sentence, most of them won't understand you.
Even "drinking water" is confusing. Just "water" would be much more comprehensible. Have a good trip! 😊

  6. bro that haejang guk thing is tha bomb! it requires taste sure, i had some of my mexican friends from LA few yrs back, i took them to the sunji place without giving any info. they freaked out a bit for a moment and then i told them its like menudo minus citrus and oregano they dive right into it and fell in love with the bowl. they now even complaining there are no place does haejang guk right in the city of la. hahaha

  8. Bruh…how do you go into a foreign country and assume they speak and understand English?? A couple things you should always learn when visiting a foreign country is 'HELLO' and 'THANK YOU'. You show respect, you get respect.

  9. 양 translated to sheep haha.. but you were almost correct when you said intestine ..양(yang) is tripe 🙂

  10. Hahaha, are you shocked that the kids said “No!”
Maybe they didn't say "no" because they were scared or didn't like you. In Korea, there are still many people who are unfamiliar or embarrassed to meet foreigners.
They might have been shocked because the yellow-haired foreigner said loudly in English, “Take a picture!” It's not an experience you can easily have in Gangwon-do. On the contrary, I was surprised to see scenes where older people in the countryside communicate with you without being surprised or uncomfortable.
Why are they so natural? Did you recruit them? ^^
I've been to Yeoju and Daejeon by bike, but I'd like to go to Busan someday~~~~~~
