Galyna starts her day with hard physical labor, chopping and stacking firewood, as the Carpathians prepare for harsh winters starting mid-summer. Despite the summer heat, firewood is essential year-round for cooking and heating.

🌿 Galyna’s daughter Inna helps with house chores and cooking, using fresh vegetables and eggs. The family is busy, from cleaning the house to working in the garden. Even the youngest, Mariyka, assists by collecting firewood and keeping the yard tidy, a hallmark of Hutsul life. Outside, the animals graze, and Vasyl repairs the moped, a vital transport in the mountainous terrain.

🍃 Meanwhile, Inna prepares a picnic, slicing cheese and washing vegetables. The family enjoys these small moments of joy in their daily routine. Galyna processes fresh milk using a separator, producing rich cream. With picnic supplies ready, the family heads to a cool forest spot, finding solace in nature’s embrace.
