住宅地が少しずつ増えてきたと感じてくると食事処を期待する。
しかし、いいとこガソリンスタンドだ。
かなり惜しい感じまでくるが、専ら畑の道が続く。というか天まで続く道のスタート地点頂上から、見えなくなっていた道路を今走ってきているが、「ここまでで終点」という看板は付いているのであろうか？
我々の足の見解ではあるが結構な距離を走ってきた気がする。少々の登りも現れるし、途中からは平坦さしか感じられない状況は、安易にも想定外であった。
そして何処までで終点なのか不安を感じてきたタイミングと同時に天候の機嫌も気になってくる。
「これ途中で雨が降ってきたら逃げ場がない。」
と脳裏にサラッと過ることはあるが、豪雨はこないであろう根拠ない勘を頼る。
きっとSpotifyもカントリー系のjazzをチョイスしてくるので間違いないであろう。
☆Consequence.
今年はまだ馬に追いかけられていません。
小清水辺りは牧場があるので、今年は是非追っかけてくる馬をカメラに納めたい。
そう決めて小清水近辺に期待してましたが、どうやらまだそのタイミングは訪れてこないようです。
わたくしはよく、動物にこのようなサインを出します。
まず目を合わせ鼻を少し上げ下げする。（クンクン匂いを嗅ぐかのように）
あっているかは微妙ですが
「君に興味があるよ」
という動物向けのわたくし流ジェスチャーです。
猫も馬も牛も、今まで全てこれで挨拶してきました(笑)
このモーションという動きより本当に興味があるので、何らかの意思が伝わっているだけの可能性はあります。

第二章 宗谷岬から先

■Preface.
それは2022年の5月。父親との北海道一周ツーリングを実施してから始まった。
2022年の昨年は、苫小牧より逆時計回りで北海道1周にトライアル。その内容としては、順調に襟裳岬から釧路を抜け風連湖から野付半島を堪能し、知床峠を超えて網走まで何とか走行する事ができていた。
ここまでで自転車のトラブルは二人でパンクは3回と、スポーク修理は釧路のサイクルショップで1回。どの原因も荷物の積み過ぎが要因の一つにあった。
キャンプ場もまだ開いていない5月のシーズン前となる北海道であったが、目的である最北端の稚内へ状況を見ながら進めていた。
しかし、その後スポーク折れ（計5本）などの状況悪化により、リムの修正ができない我々は最悪の事態を考慮し、応急処置しながら雄武町から急遽内陸を走り旭川へ。
そして札幌にてリム修理をサイクルショップで行っていただいたが、スケジュールの関係もあり苫小牧へ帰る判断に一致した。
なので今年は
時計回りで稚内方面からツーリングを堪能することが我々の一つの目的となった。
