According to the bike shop, it was super hard to get the bike through inspection. What do you mean? In short, it is a matter of engine model number. The model number of the engine on the inspection certificate would change. The base is the same engine, but it is complicated by the different manufacturer.

But the engine performance has changed dramatically. Does that mean it’s faster? I think it’s probably faster, but I don’t know because I’ve changed other things like the carburetor, etc. these burned down. I changed to another parts that seemed to be faster. But anyway… The high rpm range is now very smooth.

The Harley Sportster only turns smoothly up to about 5000 rpm. But my Sportster turns up to 7700 rpm according to the specs. Still, the RPMs are lower than those of domestic motorcycles. It turns up considerably more than other sportsters. I think what you got was that the engine turn up better.

But have you lost some things? What is lost is, as you said earlier, torque. The Harley-like ride is gone. I think there are a lot of people who would argue with me if I mention the Harley-ness of the Sportster in the first place. No, it’s not! There is nothing Harley-ness about the Sportster!

A characteristic the big twin has, what can I say, like a triple beat sound. That feeling of the flywheel spinning powerfully even when it seems to stop almost. The Sportster doesn’t have that kind of weight to begin with, but it became even lighter from there.

I don’t have a strong commitment in the three-beat sound. But… For better or worse,it became like a Japanese bike. What can I say? but rather than I originally liked to accelerate slowly like this.
