實拍海外華人在世界上建立的第一個共和國,存在了107年,現在的子孫後代過得怎麼樣?丨印尼蘭芳共和國丨亞洲行第17集

I haven’t learned Chinese for a long time so (textbook) or in Indonesian? Chinese is actually learned outside class right Only people over 65 years old can understand Chinese Because Indonesia closed Chinese schools in 1966 I graduated in 1956 You graduated in 1965 sorry 65 years 247 years ago (1777)

Overseas Chinese once established a republic in history One year later than the United States’ Declaration of Independence And it has existed in history for more than a hundred years Nowadays, very few people know Where exactly was the Chinese Republic? How are the people (Chinese) doing? With these doubts

Let’s embark on a new journey together Indonesia Welcome back to Ake’s channel on the road Mention overseas Chinese countries Most people think of Singapore But there is another one A Chinese country that has existed for 107 years in history And it’s a republican democracy What about this country? That’s in today’s Indonesia

The “Lan Fong Republic” in the area of Singkawang and Pontianak The Chinese are still the largest ethnic group there. Next follow the camera Entering the former “Lanfang Republic” Indonesia west kalimantan Since Zheng He’s voyages to the West This started the Chinese version of the “Great Voyage”

A large number of Chinese from Fujian and Vietnam went to Nanyang to make a living. During the Qianlong period A scholar from Meizhou, Guangdong (Luo Fangbo) Failed the imperial examination (provincial examination) Going to Nanyang with more than 100 fellow countrymen (going to sea via Humen) Go gold hunting in Borneo

Borneo at that time Gold mining companies are numerous and chaotic Bandits are rampant Pirates dominate The local Sudanese was also at a loss. Among the Chinese who went to Southeast Asia Luo Fangbo is one of the few people who has both read books and learned martial arts.

Soon the various hometown associations of the Chinese people were united To pacify the Quartet Merged 14 companies successively Area of 110,000 square kilometers Bigger than South Korea today It governs a population of up to 4 million Its merchant ships ply between Guangzhou and Borneo On an equal footing with the local Sudan

Even more rare is the implementation of a republic Leaders at all levels are elected by the people Of course, this strength was nothing to fear in the eyes of European colonists. Scholars (Luo Fangbo) are more self-aware Proclaimed to the outside world as “Lanfang Company”

Wanted to be included in the Qing Dynasty’s tribute system and gain asylum Although not successful But we also obtained Qianlong’s trade permission. The Dutch who didn’t know the truth were really frightened. Until the Qing Dynasty lost the first Opium War The Dutch are no longer afraid Ended in 1884 after 108 years

The “Lanfang Republic” with 13 presidents (general commanders) This is where to buy tickets I bought the tickets one day in advance from here There is only one train every day Went to Singkawang It’s nine forty-five in the morning The price is 100 ringgit (150rmb~20.9usd) Go from here

The approximate distance is close to more than 260 kilometers This time I will start from Kuching, East Malaysia Go to the former “Lanfang Republic” The second largest city in West Kalimantan, Indonesia today Hiroshi Yamaguchi Then go south to Pontianak, the largest city

Later, when I went to Luo Fangbo, I went to Nanyang to pan for gold. and the place where he made his fortune Mandor This is the customs on the Malaysian side Like a parking lot Get your departure stamp stamped here Then wait and take the bus

Go there and get the Indonesian entry stamp stamped. They want to buy a new car and go to Indonesia. Change to this car first Have officially entered Indonesia I don’t have a visa here Then you can also apply for a visa on arrival here. The price is US$35 (251rmb)

I don’t have a return ticket either. I just said that when the time comes, I will enter Sabah by land. That is Malaysia Then it’s no problem After more than 6 hours 260 kilometers finally arrived Singkawang, the second largest city in West Kalimantan Its population is close to 260,000 Mainly Chinese

Accounting for 60%, obviously This is also one of the former “Lanfang Republics” You may have no idea about the size of the “Lanfang Republic” It has 110,000 square kilometers Comparable to today’s South Korea Then let’s get on the drone Bar Singkawang: named after mountains, river mouths and seas

145 kilometers from the provincial capital Pontianak The largest Chinese city in Indonesia Chinese account for more than 60% of the total population They are also the only people who recognize Chinese as Aboriginal people. Cities that stipulate that the deputy mayor must be a Chinese The current mayor is a Chinese woman: Cai Cuimei

Withdrawn 2.5 million rupees from an ATM Equivalent to 1162 RMB + 23 RMB handling fee (164usd) Let me show you the largest face value here It’s 100,000 pieces I feel like I’m back in Lebanon again

Hello, where can I buy phone cards? Excuse me Do you know where can i get a sim car? Not here, no Are the cars sold in the mall Chery? A bit like Is this Suzuki? Make a motorcycle into the city center The price is 15,000 rupees (7rmb~0.96usd) Now to the city center

Wow ~ Very Spring Festival atmosphere You can see the float over there Then here is Tua Pek Kong Temple It really feels like I’m in Suriname (a small South American country) here Find a place to stay in the city center Price is Rs 237,000 Equivalent to 110 RMB (15usd)/night Just such a room

Relatively new and more flavorful no windows Now I’m going to buy a phone card I asked several passers-by I found that here in Indonesia The English penetration rate is not as high as in Malaysia Your card is not active yet, your car is not active yet

He will help you activate, so he will help you to activate Thank you for helping me translate Are you local I am Indonesian people here Chinese They are the Chinese in Indonesia So where did you learn Chinese? I learned it from the cram school I took 19 years old, nineteen

What major do you want to study (university)? What major do you want to study in university? i mean what you want to study in university Medicine, medical wow cool you want to be a doctor, so you want to be a doctor yes, yes oh cool People here are so friendly

Everyone will laugh when they meet It’s my first day here today feels good So can you understand Chinese? Chinese characters It’s been a long time since I learned so you might say But I can’t read (read) anymore Do you have faith what’s your religion do you have religion, do you have religion

Is it a Muslim or a Buddhist? Or Christianity Catholicism, Katolik (catholic) Are there more Catholics or Muslims here? There are also many Catholics Then that Confucianism (Buddhist Chinese religion) Wow, it’s so troublesome to apply for a phone card here. He said it’s because I haven’t paid taxes on this mobile phone.

So it cannot be used in Indonesia So their phone cards are not supported Unless I apply at their airport You can use it only if you can pay taxes That’s too much trouble Ordered a fried Indonesian instant noodles This instant noodle seems to be a Chinese company too.

Indonesia’s economy is still controlled by the Chinese 3% of Chinese control 80% of Indonesia’s wealth Congratulations on getting rich, Congratulations on getting rich I wish you happiness, okay happy happy Happy, happy, happy happy happy In front is the oldest temple in Singkawang Built in 1878 At an earlier time

The Chinese went to Nanyang and came here Engage in some mining activities This place is just a resting point The surrounding area is wild. And then just to get the blessing of the gods This temple was built here It was also used as an inn at that time.

You can see the meaning on the temple pillars. Public license for overseas Chinese The seat of Nanbangshi, agriculture, industry and commerce, Zhanbode That is, it is the same as what I just said. Just to pray for God’s blessing Then built this temple Let’s go this way from Tua Pek Kong Temple.

It’s their market It’s on the left hand side of the market There is an ancestral home of the Xie family Let’s go forward This is the Xie family’s ancestral home. It is also one of the oldest buildings in Singkawang Built in 1902

It was at that time that Xie Shou went to Nanyang to work hard. a residential area built Go to the front from here This is an office at that time What about the river in front of the office? It’s the Kuala River At that time, this place was also used as a port.

Center of trade What about the goods traded here? Transport from Kuala River to the sea Then shipped to Singapore and Malaysia You can see its architectural style Similar to a courtyard house Plus mixed with some Nanyang style This is their hall It is still 14 families live there That is, their descendants

You have to take off your shoes before entering here. You can see that they are worshiping Mazu, right? There are also landowners and the like. Can be seen on the right This should be his ancestral home in China It is an ancestral house in Haicang Town, Xiamen City, Fujian Province hello hello

Do you speak Chinese here? what language can you speak, what language can you speak Mandarin, Cantonese or Hakka Hakka This is a restaurant next to the ancestral house They should be descendants Their descendants made some food What is this called? Called Cai Zong (Hakka delicacy) 25,000 rupees (11.5rmb~1.6usd)/portion

A bit like Chaoshan or Hakka type rice cakes Taste almost the same This is the kind of bread inside It should be called beets. It started pouring rain Come visit their local market 7,000 rupees per kilogram (3.2rmb~0.4usd) The dragon fruits and mangosteens here are huge If it’s a bigger person like this

He is 25,000 rupees per kilogram (11.5rmb~1.6usd) This small one is 15,000 rupees per kilogram (6.9rmb~0.9usd) Wow, this one is almost a kilogram. There are a lot of durians here The price is very cheap The one I picked is not very good. He gave me another one I really can’t believe it

A durian this big only costs 10,000 rupees It’s equivalent to only 4 yuan 6 yuan (0.6 usd) It’s cheap at only 5,000 rupees Equivalent to just over two yuan (2.3rmb~0.3usd) Wow, durian freedom is really achieved Try the durian here The bag is big Thank you, OK thank you

You also brought me that trash can Wow, very rich His core is also relatively large. I feel Malaysian durians are also imported from here. It’s really too cheap All the fishmongers here have closed their stalls in the afternoon. Only one store is open Hello, how do you sell these carrots?

One kilogram costs 15,000 rupees (6.9rmb~0.9usd) This one too 15,000 per kilogram (6.9rmb~0.9usd) Chili pepper 71,000 kilograms (32rmb~4.4usd) The food here is similar to that in Chaoshan and Fujian. The price/performance ratio is very high This drink costs only 5,000 (2.3rmb~0.3usd) This one costs 18,000 rupees (8.3rmb! 1.1usd) And the ingredients are very sufficient pork

Fish eggs And I don’t know what this crispy one is. Well, this should be pig skin. Fried pork rinds Don’t look at this bowl of pho I think it’s already worthy of being listed in Michelin. no way I went back to this store yesterday to buy a mobile phone card.

Mobile phone cards are very cheap Only 160,000 rupees/25GB (73rmb~10usd) Then add a card fee of 35,000 (16rmb~2.2usd) If you buy it at the airport, it may cost more than 500,000 yuan (230rmb~32usd) This mobile phone card originally carried 3G Then I bought another month 25 GB of traffic Available throughout Indonesia

But because it is a local mobile phone number So what? I can’t use this anymore (my mobile phone) So what? I want to buy another mobile phone from them The price of this mobile phone is 650,000 (300rmb~41usd) So the total cost is 835,000 (385rmb~53usd) Indonesian version of urban management

It feels like this side is closer to the equator It’s much hotter than Kuching. This is a multi-religious place You can see there is Catholicism here There is a Chinese temple in front There is a mosque further ahead In the city center Basically no high-rise buildings can be seen

They are all one- to two-story bungalows. It’s really similar to Suriname. Except where I got off the bus yesterday It’s outside a relatively large shopping mall The climate here is also a tropical country The main road also has a very festive atmosphere.

You can see the four words “Gong Xi Fa Cai” in big letters And it was translated in several languages. What about after the last two video updates? Some netizens Let me stop saying “Gong Xi Fa Cai” to foreigners It will look rather tacky

In fact, this is exactly a sign of lack of confidence. this is our culture Just admit it openly. You can see the words “Gong Xi Fa Cai” everywhere what are you doing here “Indonesia Election” okay I don’t speak English, I don’t speak English Okay, okay, okay Don’t worry okay Thank you, thank you

It’s very peaceful here You can see that every house is decorated with lights and colorful decorations. All are hung with red lanterns Travel Safely near residential areas There are also smaller temples like this It should be Tudigong Temple Wow, this has been a long way I saw a lot of Chinese houses

So beautifully built This family must be a wealthy family Look how luxurious it is Happy New Year Happy New Year Hey, what grade are you in? fourth grade Oh fourth grade Then you have been educated in Chinese since childhood, right? I only started learning it in junior high school

Just started junior high school Hey, aren’t you in fourth grade? The fourth grade is in cram school Oh, cram school until fourth grade So what junior year are you in school now? high school Going to high school May I ask how old you are? I’m 17 years old 17 years old i dream

Be a translator Be a translator Chinese translation Yes The Chinese here probably speak Hakka. Hakka That’s equivalent to knowing Indonesian Speak Hakka speak mandarin right That’s great Right Then when I grow up, I want to be a translator Have you ever been to China? not yet So what is your impression of China?

China It’s a good place to travel to me I saw many interesting places in China You haven’t been to China yet, right? not yet So where in China do you most want to go? Beijing I think I am Chinese Chinese They are Indonesian Chinese To the Chinese in Indonesia

Wish you all a happy new year May all go well with you In good health May all your wishes come true Thank you. I also have a red envelope for you. Happy New Year to you too Thanks Nature and society (textbook) That kind of let me see This is still in Indonesian yes

Or Indonesian That’s what it means in school Mainly taught in Indonesian right Then the school has English classes There are also English classes There are also English classes Then I mainly teach Indonesian language So you actually learned Chinese outside class? extracurricular right No wonder, that’s pretty good

It’s already said that I’m very good at studying outside of class. So how are your grades in school? Pretty good Oh very good Got 3rd place this year so amazing So what major do you want to study in college? I want to learn Like buying something market, market Um It’s the market

Market and Economy right Okay, thank you goodbye I watch this channel (CCTV) Do you watch this station every day? Yeah But even you can understand Chinese characters Understand You can read and write meeting That’s very little Because I met several Chinese people He can’t even read Chinese characters

But why do you read Chinese characters? Because if you can speak Chinese Most people over 65 years old can only understand Chinese Because I am already seventy-five years old you look so young not young anymore Then why do only the older generation know Chinese? The young one doesn’t know Chinese Because 1966

Indonesia closes Chinese schools Just exclude China When will it open again? It’s not very open now It’s not open yet Chinese school now Is it open too? Those are all cram schools. not formal not formal I used to study Chinese regularly Read Chinese So you can understand Chinese characters Like this

No wonder I said it’s amazing I see you are watching Chinese TV I was in 1965 You graduated in 1965 sorry Sorry sorry 1965 Graduated from Nanhua Middle School in 1965 Wow, this is so precious Yes, so precious All were closed down by the Indonesian government in 1966.

You haven’t been to China yet No So what is your impression of China? very good very good very sorry Since the second Indonesian president, Suharto seized power During the 31 years of autocratic rule due to political and other factors and implement the anti-Chinese policy Chinese education banned The school is closed

Chinese books burned Chinese signboards removed This has led to a gap in the inheritance of Chinese language among a large number of Chinese people. Children in Coconut City (Jakarta) Most of them speak Indonesian It’s the people here who can speak Hakka. Pretty good

I have been living in Coconut City (Jakarta) for more than 20 years More than 20 years Is it Jakarta? It’s Jakarta jakarta 1998 Indonesian visit to China It has passed You were only there after 1998 That’s not so bad Not encountered good morning everyone I’m still in a state of confusion now.

It’s 5 o’clock in the morning Because the public transportation here is extremely inconvenient So I booked a taxi Then head to Pontianak The price is 150,000 rupees (69rmb~9.6usd) It’s quite cheap too. I made the reservation at the front desk. The hotel owner here originally booked me for 6 o’clock

As a result, he knocked on the door at around 4 o’clock and said the car would arrive at 5 o’clock. So I got up quickly Didn’t clean up I’m still in a dizzy state now. The car has arrived It’s quite hard to be a driver here.

Picking up guests here so early in the morning We are picking up our second guest today I should have to pick up one more before we can set off. It’s about 5 o’clock in the morning now There are many breakfast shops open now. Driven for two hours Rest at a place halfway

This is Sungai Duri It is also the dividing line between the two Hakka dialects. On the other side of Pontianak, they speak the Hakka dialect of Meixian County. On the other side of Singkawang, they speak Lu Feng’s Hakka dialect. Going towards Pontianak Getting closer to the equator

What about the scenery along the way? Very similar to the style of Leizhou Peninsula And I’ve walked this way There are also many temples And the Chinese are all decorated with lanterns and festoons 150 kilometers passed in more than 3 hours Finally arrived at the Equator City

The former capital of the “Lan Fang Republic” Pontianak What now It is also the capital and largest city of West Kalimantan. Pontianak The capital and largest city of West Kalimantan Province Located at the equator Built along the banks of the Capuas River Recognized as the capital of the former Lanfang Republic Population: 630,000

Among them, Chinese account for 1/3 Other ethnic groups include Malays, Javanese, Madurese and Dayaks, etc. It is the economic and political center of West Kalimantan It’s time to unpack at the hotel again Let me not talk about the price first Let me guess When you come in here, there is a wardrobe.

Then the bathroom here is also separated from wet and dry. Entered the bedroom So big And it’s central air conditioning Let’s take a look at the balcony over here Wow, this view is invincible when you come out. This is the Guara River (slip of the tongue: it’s the Capuas River) Where is Pontianak?

Just along the two sides of the mouth of the Capuas River built Guess how much it costs The price of this room is 70 RMB (9.7usd) I really didn’t lie to you. I ordered it on Agoda That’s the price If not for the river view cheaper price Only 44 RMB a night (6.1usd)

Wow, prices in Indonesia are so cost-effective Too cheap Ordinary river view room costs RMB 70 This is her watching me filming a video Then they upgraded me to a deluxe room. But an ordinary room is almost the same as this one. Just a little smaller

Chinese footprints can be found in every corner of the world But the fate is different Indonesia’s anti-Chinese Confiscation of property in Cuba Venezuela’s currency collapse and more Sometimes choice is really more important than hard work Everyone has the right to pursue the beauty in their hearts

However, these methods of routing and smuggling are really dangerous. Cost a lot And there is no identity or other issues Compared to this It is more recommended that everyone immigrate through formal means. Leave professional matters to professionals it’s here Recommend an immigration agency that is different from traditional ones

From being approved to settling down Provide one-stop private customization service The company has a strong legal background Authoritative lawyers in many countries Can ensure the security of immigration application If you are interested in overseas immigration Friends who want legal professional assistance You can scan the QR code in front of the screen

Give them a free consultation Come out of the hall It’s a restaurant by the river There is breakfast here But my price does not include breakfast It’s so romantic to go outside I made a mistake just now This river is called Kapuas River It is also the longest river in Indonesia Kapuas River

Total length is about 1,143 kilometers Not only the longest in Indonesia It is also the longest river on the world’s islands. It is the main route in Kalimantan Large timbers are shipped here There is also a ferry here Traveling between the east coast and the west coast

This is the avenue coming out of the pier They are all large banks. This should be their financial street. (before 1965) February 9th every year That’s Luo Fangbo’s birthday Everyone will come here to celebrate This is the memorial hall of Luo Fangbo Everyone must think I’m talking nonsense

This is obviously a bank, right? In fact, before 1965 This is indeed the memorial hall of Luo Fangbo Now it is the old address After 1965 Because of Indonesia’s anti-Chinese The government forcibly took away Luo Fangbo’s memorial hall. and then gave it to their national bank

Opposite the old site of Luo Fangbo Memorial Hall It’s their market Let’s go and visit the local market You have to cross the road here. I also do as the Romans do in the country This pedestrian bridge seems to have been closed. Make no mistake, everyone This is not a motorcycle market

It’s where they park their motorcycles Motorcycles are their main means of transportation here. Can you speak Chinese? Won’t Here in Pontianak It’s rare to see Chinese signboards. Even if the boss is Chinese He doesn’t put up Chinese signs either. The clothes here are very cheap Children’s clothing is only 15,000 (6.9rmb~0.9usd)

That one is only 25,000 (11.5rmb~1.6usd) An adult like this is only 35,000 (16rmb~2.2usd) The better and more expensive one is 50,000 (23rmb~3.2usd) It’s really cheap hello This market is all about wholesale China All made in China How was the relationship between Chinese and local here?

The title of “Indonesian Chinese”, like you called chindo “Indonesian Chinese” chindo I have a lot of Indonesian Chinese friends, i have a lot of good friends from chindo You have a good relationship, so you have a good relationship Because from my university most of them is chindo

Come and eat at a roadside stall The price for such a portion is 15,000 rupees Equivalent to 6 yuan 8 yuan (0.9usd) prices in indonesia It’s really too low I’m even embarrassed Look, there are 6 meatballs This is tofu There’s meat inside too. And vegetables It’s really a good deal

And there are so many sauces you can add There is a three temples near the pier It is the oldest temple in Kundian It was in the twelfth year of Kangxi local chinese We invited Mazu to come here from China. These are the people from the local lion dance team

Come along this way I found that there are many family offices That is their ancestral hall There is also a Confucian Chinese community association in Western Canada. This name sounds weird But this is also a helpless move In 1967, the Indonesian government implemented a strict assimilation policy Also called the Chinese Exclusion Policy

Chinese are not allowed to form parties Stop Chinese education, etc. As a result, Indonesian Chinese under the age of 50 are now Almost no Chinese Confucianism was equivalent to the underground organization at that time Carrying on the education and inheritance of Chinese language Until the fourth Indonesian President Wahid came to power

Chinese education can be loosened Thank you, thank you I rented a motorcycle here 600,000 rupees (276rmb~38usd) and rent for 5 days Forgot to ask what the displacement of this motorcycle is? But it looks pretty new I found the information on Facebook Then tell them They brought the car to your doorstep

And no deposit is required But you need to press a certificate I pressed my ID card to him Here it is You can take a ferry to the other side The price is 6,000 rupees (2.7rmb~0.3usd) In this case Drive over there Then we went around a bridge and then to the other side.

The distance is shortened by about 8 kilometers Come and refuel at the gas station on the roadside. The price is 10,000 rupees/liter (4.6rmb~0.6usd/liter) I’m on my way to Dongwanlu This is the road condition I’m tired of riding Take a break here on the way You can see it along the way

There are a lot of these Chinese temples Dongwanlu (slip of the tongue) It is also the place where Lanfang Republic flourished. Then let’s keep going On the side of the main road I saw some houses with this style. At first glance, it looks like a place where Chinese people live. Hello

I’m from China I want to ask Is there a Lan Fong Yuen here? Lanfang Republic Lanfang Republic It’s there, right? Where is this Lanfang Mansion? The one who is enshrined is Luo Fangbo Where’s Uncle Luo Fang? He was originally a scholar who “failed the provincial examination” (failed the imperial examination) in Meizhou, Guangdong.

Then came here Then he founded a business like this Now he has become a god Pontianak “King of Pontianak” (Luo Fangbo’s name) Pontianak-Singkawang-Tongwanlu Then the area under his jurisdiction is quite large. very big after 3 hours Finally arrived at Dongwanlu A Catholic church is also being built here

All the people who live here should be Chinese from this town Small area It feels like a small town There is also a bank here The “Golden Mountain” in Luo Fangbo’s “Jinshan Ode” It refers to Dongwanlu As the name suggests This is where the gold mine once was

Luo Fangbo traveled to Southeast Asia I came to Dongwanlu to go gold hunting. This is also where he made his fortune It is worth mentioning that During the Japanese colonial period The Japanese army killed 21,037 people here Social elites from all walks of life in West Kalimantan intellectuals

And buried in 10 mass graves This place is very hard to find A peaceful place on a country lane in the fields This is where Luo Fangbo made his fortune. Where is this place? It was built more than 200 years ago with everyone’s joint efforts. It is used to worship Luo Fangbo

Do you speak Hakka? no 中文no English no OK Okay Wow, it’s probably going to rain heavily again. Hurry up and take pictures The door is locked Just now, the proprietress of this canteen said You can turn over from here You can see it on the tombstone

The names of these donors have been chiseled out This is because during the anti-Chinese era In order not to be implicated, everyone Chiseled out the name Failed the provincial examination (failed the imperial examination) Traveling to Southeast Asia to pan for gold Luo Fangbo, a guest from a foreign land

Express the mood at that time in “Jinshan Fu” “The towering independence reaches the top of the mountains” “Clouds and water swirl around themselves” “Such beautiful mountains and rivers” “The wasted years are also regrettable”

  4. Never believe Indonesian because they will rob you for nothing……. especially outskirts, because law is nothing to them, surviving that day is main thing. Rob you indirectly.

  12. After your tour please leave and go back…..there are just too many chinese tourist here, bad behaving and giving bad reputation to the local chinese. Please do your documentary, complete your tour and leave
