長い間作業してもらっていた『ゴジラ-1.0／C』を発表できることとなりました。
ただモノクロにするのではなくそれこそカット単位で、
新たな映画を創り上げるくらいの勢いでさまざまなマットを駆使しながら調整してもらいました。
目指したのはモノクロ写真の名匠達が撮ったような画調。
撮影されたデータに潜んでいた肌の質感や風景のディテールをこれでもかと発掘してもらいました。
するとそこにはドキュメンタリーの様な凄まじく恐ろしいゴジラが現れました。
色を無くしたことで新たに迫ってくる現実感。
ぜひ劇場で更なる恐怖に生きて抗って下さい。
生きて、抗え。
焦土と化した日本に、突如現れたゴジラ。
残された名もなき人々に、生きて抗う術はあるのか。
ゴジラ70周年記念作品となる本作『ゴジラ −1.0』で監督・脚本・VFXを務めるのは、山崎貴。
絶望の象徴が、いま令和に甦る。

Just saw it with some teen boys. They made fun of it most of the way, and said the characters had crazy "plot armor" It is over-hyped a bit unfortunately. The film is unwilling to commit to certain parts of the storyline. Looks great, story is better than most, but lead guy is overly emotional and there is some overacting. The sad parts would be effective if offset with some more light hearted parts. If the original Jaws is a 10, this is an 8.

個人的には昔ながらのちょっとノイズの入った、それこそブラウン管で見てるような映像がいいなとは思った。
綺麗なモノクロより、そっちの方が現実味があるかなと思う。
せっかく戦艦とか震電出してるんだから、そういう映像でも見てみたい。
熱戦シーンでのキノコ雲が、平和資料館で観たあの感じが出ていて絶望感が増したのがカラー版より味わい深くて良かった。
まだ1月だってのに、ほぼ間違いなく今年最高傑作出ちまったなぁ

やっぱりゴジラ−10はめっちゃ良かったなー、DVD買って毎日観る。
昨日モノクロ観て来ました。やっぱりカラーよりも怖かったな。

My wife and I just saw this in a theater in a suburb outside of Atlanta, Georgia, USA, and absolutely loved it! Neither of us has any specific memories of seeing Godzilla movies before (though I'm sure I watched a few on occasion with friends as a youth), so this was a wonderful new experience for us.
It's an incredibly beautiful movie, visually; the acting is excellent; the characters convincing and interesting; and the story thoroughly engaging from beginning to end.
I especially appreciated how understated was the fact that Shikishima, while depicted as "cowardly" for not finishing his kamikaze mission nor firing upon "baby Godzilla" from his little plane early on, in fact was quite courageous and self-sacrificing in a very human and humble way by taking in Noriko and Akiko.
We'll probably watch it (the original version in color) again, maybe regularly like we do with "Die Hard", once it's available on our service.

😽マイナスカラーも良いですよね。−1.0と合わせて、✨18回目✨。回数重ねば、重ねるるほど、😭泣ける泣ける映画。主役🌈神木隆之介くんの演技が良い。🩷
モノクロを先に見てきました。
んで、カラーを動画配信きたらテレビで見ようと考えてたけど、やっぱシアターでカラーを見たいなー。
でもパンフレットのカラー写真見るとやはりモノクロより劣ってるような気がする🤔

I have not seen a movie this spectacular in years. I could actually feel the fear in the citizens and main characters in this movie. I have never felt this many emotions in a Godzilla movie. Truly a great experience in the theater. I saw it 4 times and will see it again if they bring it back!
