This video covers the first part of my journey around Chiba prefecture. I have chosen the Otone Cycling Road for its beautiful view and great condition. This time was particularly enjoyable since I was anticipating the sunset.
The Otone Cycling Road is a dedicated, traffic-separated path along the Tone River’s banks, particularly known for the route from Chiba Prefecture’s Sawara area to Inubosaki. The course is largely flat, offering views of the river, the Sawara water town, and sometimes Mount Tsukuba.
Key characteristics include its status as a separate cycling road, the need for sun protection during summer due to a lack of shade, and its safe, motor-traffic-free environment.
Key Features
Location: Follows the Tone River, extending from the Sawara area in Chiba towards Choshi.
Course: Primarily a flat course along the river.
Scenery: Features include the Tone River’s impressive views, the historic Sawara water town, and distant views of Mount Tsukuba.
User Experience: It’s a designated cycling road, distinct from regular roads. You will also find public toilets asking the way
Safety: It is separated from motor vehicles, ensuring a safer cycling experience.
Preparation: Cyclists should be prepared for midsummer conditions, as there is little shade on the route.

この動画は、千葉県一周の旅の第一弾です。今回は、景色が美しく路面状況も素晴らしい大利根サイクリングロードを選びました。特にこの日は日没を楽しみにしていたので、とても楽しいサイクリングになりました。
大利根サイクリングロードは、利根川の土手沿いに整備された、自動車の交通と分離された自転車専用道路で、特に千葉県の佐原地区から犬吠埼までのルートが知られています。コースはほぼ平坦で、利根川や水郷佐原の景色、時には筑波山も眺めることができます。
主な特徴として、独立したサイクリングロードであること、日陰が少ないため夏は日焼け対策が必要なこと、そして自動車が通らない安全な環境であることが挙げられます。

コース：主に川沿いの平坦なコースです。
景色：雄大な利根川の景色、歴史的な水郷佐原の町並み、遠くには筑波山を望むことができます。
走りやすさ・設備：一般道とは区別された自転車専用道路です。道中には公衆トイレもあります。
安全性：自動車交通から分離されており、より安全なサイクリングが楽しめます。
準備：コース上には日陰がほとんどないため、特に真夏は日焼けや熱中症への対策が必要です。
