The Quiet Coastal Countryside of IseShima — Kintetsu Rail Pass
Just two hours from Osaka and Kyoto lies one of Japan’s most underrated regions. IseShima, a stretch of Mie Prefecture coastline packed with history and tradition, beautiful coastal landscapes, all while being a stone’s throw from the busiest hot spots in Kansai. Over five days I wandered the sacred atmosphere of Ise Jingu, hiked to the Asama viewpoint, learned the story of cultured pearls on Mikimoto Island, had lunch with Ama divers, cycled through the quiet beach villages of Shima. The best part? It’s all connected by the Kintetsu Rail Pass Plus, a five-day pass that gives you total freedom to move through Kansai and IseShima without thinking about tickets. If you’re ready to step off the tourist trail, this is your way out.

A true masterpiece right here, the miniature looks stunning and so cinematic ✨ Can’t wait to see the full video!
Since I primarily travel to off the beaten path places in my camper van, I often get people asking me if it’s possible to access those places via public transport. I normally don’t look into transport information, so I’m glad I could do a full video showing the quiet side of Japan without my trusty van!
Ryan the next time you have Fugu, it needs to be Fugu sashimi! Nice pace to this trip. I like how you shared areas beyond the main Ise shrine.
Thank you for the beautiful Japanese scenery!I think if you show off your physical appeal while touring hot springs, you might attract more viewers.Open-air baths are a part of Japanese culture.
Ise-Shima isn’t the easiest place to access, but the scenery is absolutely breathtaking👍👍
And there’s also a great variety of seafood🦞🐟🦀
Ryan turns moments in Japan into stories — where every frame feels like a dream, and every step has purpose.”
Thanks for sharing this itinerary! Everywhere is so beautiful😍

行くことはない歴史ある神社やお寺を巡ってくれます
静寂な空気や梅の香りまでこちらに届いています
ありがとう!
Thank you for another Japanese adventure. Maybe I need to stop booking adventures to other places and just keep going back to Japan!! Such a zen vibe. I am giving my nephew a Japan guidebook as part of his birthday gift and hope he will want to come with me so I can show him some of Japan, including following some of your footprints! 🇨🇦
i love this one as I love the others. thank you for sharing meaningful journeys as always and I appreciate all those candid moments you've infused here. 🙂
ハンサムさんと一緒に写真が撮れて、海人のおばちゃんたちが本当にうれしそうですね…
Amazing video, Ryan!! ❤🔥❤🔥 I'm looking forward to spring and summer trips 🔥🔥
Another stunning corner of 🥰 Japan (it's unfortunate how words like stunning get overused and somewhat devalued, but damn it, it's the appropriate word…), beautifully captured by a pretty good photographer, endorphins overflowing
Thanks Ryan 🙇🏻
