Brompton Adventure: Hanno to Ogose Plum Grove | 飯能〜越生：ブロンプトンで巡る裏道と絶品ランチ

A scenic Brompton journey from Hanno Station to Ogose Plum Grove, capturing the early signs of spring.

The ride took us through the rolling hills of Hidaka, with a cozy snack break at “poco a poco.” Along the way, we enjoyed some light gravel sections, crossed the unique “Ponpon Bridge,” and even had a surprise encounter with a goat being taken for a walk!

For lunch, we stopped at “St. Pierre” in Kawakado, a classic restaurant serving hearty, oversized Western dishes that definitely hit the spot.

Near Moro Station, I had the wonderful surprise of bumping into my friend @aussieinjapan! The final stretch led us through the narrow, winding backroads of Ogose to the Plum Grove. Accompanied by the traditional “Ohayashi” festival music, we took in the beautiful plum blossoms before concluding the ride at Ogose Station.

飯能駅から越生梅林を目指す、春の訪れを感じるブロンプトン・サイクリング。

日高の心地よい丘陵地帯を走り抜け、「ポコ ア ポコ (poco a poco)」でおやつ休憩。道中ではグラベル（砂利道）や、ユニークな「ポンポン橋」、そして散歩中のヤギ（！）に遭遇するなど、裏道ならではの出会いに溢れたルートを楽しみました。

多和目天神橋を渡り、川角の「サンピエール」でランチ。クラシックな雰囲気の中でいただく、やや大盛りでボリューム満点の洋食に心もお腹も満たされました。

毛呂駅付近では、なんと友人の @aussieinjapan に偶然遭遇するという嬉しいサプライズも！最後は越生のくねくねした細い裏道を通り抜け、お囃子の音色が響く越生梅林へ。満開に近い梅の花と、お祭り特有の活気ある空気感に包まれながら、最高の締めくくりとなりました。
