Cool Roads on Mt Unzen – Part One – Amakusa to Chijiwa Rice Terraces

Part One of Day 13 of a 19 day ride around Shikoku and Kyushu on 3 Honda Hunter Trails and 1 Super Cub.

We rode from Amakusa on Shimoshima Island to Shimabara on the Shimabara Peninsula via a ferry linking the two islands. We wanted to see Mt. Unzen and the countryside around the volcanic region. There a number of pleasant surprises along the way and the next day.
