From Sweating in the Heat to Shivering in the Cold | Colombian Motorcycle Adventure – EP.403

In this video, I take you on a journey that feels like crossing continents but it all happens in a day. I start the morning riding through lush, tropical jungles and by sunset, I’m navigating the misty, cold peaks of the Andes. The diversity of this country never stops surprising me. It’s a ride of extreme contrasts – from sweating in the sun to shivering in the high-altitude low temps.

In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don’t know my final destination or the duration of this journey.

Throughout my journey, I’m raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. All the money raised will go directly to helping Franek and his family lead as normal a life as possible so please donate generously: https://gogetfunding.com/arewethereyet/

None of that would be possible without my official sponsors:

  2. That is some lovely scenery, Kinga. Such a pretty, twisty road.

Hopefully, you'll get your hot springs soon.

    Safe travels. ❤

  3. I'm surprised Tim sent you up to camp in Los Nevados. It is always cold and rainy up there. I freeze every time I've done that route. It's a wild change from Manizales up to the summit, going over the other side and dropping in towards Honda is changed as much or more.

  4. That's the first time I've seen a spiral highway tunnel. In the Canadian Rockies, we have railway spiral tunnels that replaced a 4% grade. Part of the old grade was used for the new transcontinental highway. Even with snow, it is mostly okay.

70$ is double occupancy with the dog house?
