IRAQ: Poison ayran, brutal heat & wildcamping in Kurdistan
Cycling the world – Asia: 18 episode
After a few slow days in Duhok, I leave Kathleen’s home with a bit of motivation and decide to explore a corner of Kurdistan before attempting to enter federal Iraq through Mosul. The heat is brutal at forty four degrees and the climbs come one after another. I reach Amedi the next day after wildcamping beside an almond farm where a curious mouse kept visiting my tent.
After a stroll around Amedi I start heading toward Mosul eager to see if my Kurdish visa will let me into federal Iraq at all. A questionable Iranian style ayran gives me stomach trouble as I keep grinding through mountain roads. By night I camp in a grassy patch beside a tiny shop called the Rose Market. The road to Mosul is getting closer and stranger.

Very romantic
You can't say Davide is wrong: when discussing minefields mistranslation is not an option.
Good to see you singing Davide.
Stay safe to Mosul..😊
Contento di vederti meglio, cerca di stare bene, godi del piacere dell’ingombro del viaggio, cioè quello che c’è nel mezzo. Ha volte è dura, lo so. Forza.
Such a beautiful voice!
