BROMPTONで【静岡県・浜名湖】をサイクリング(ハマイチ)。逆方向に走るのも自由。その不便とご褒美。

Freedom to ride the other way
Inconvenience—and its reward
Lake Hamana Cycling Route (Hama-ichi) The pleasure of studying the map Research complete (Blue Brompton) “Yo!”

(Black Birdy) “Hey!” I want to stop by a hot spring on the way back,
so let’s ride clockwise. (Seriously?) Research wasted— no, fuel for next time. It never hurts to know:
there’s a “standard” direction to ride. For lakes, counterclockwise.
For islands, clockwise. Because with left-side traffic, the water stays closer to you. Of course, riding the opposite way is your freedom too. The red torii gate of Bentenjima Arai Checkpoint Is this really the right road? Probably. It never hurts to know:
going the opposite way means fewer signs. A cycle computer with navigation might be essential. Yamaha Marina Lake Hamana I want to eat a mandarin orange. Would it be bad to pick one up and eat it? Nagasaka Beekeeping Farm Riding the reverse direction means fewer crowds.
Even famous spots— you can take your time and enjoy a meal. The terrain is complex, with many curves. The scenery keeps shifting left and right— it’s a lot of fun. This might be the highlight of the whole route. I could almost imagine living around here. It never hurts to know:
if there are plenty of bike-only paths, even riding in reverse keeps the water close.
The views are fantastic. The peninsula around Lake Inohana
is full of scenic spots. “Tired.”

“Whew.” Alright—let’s go. Time for lunch. “Uonami,”
a restaurant that also serves as a seafood market. Fluffy inside, crispy outside. Delicious. This place, “Uonami”,
also serves excellent eel.
It’s popular with locals and sees relatively few tourists.
Highly recommended. The red bridge—its symbol—comes into view. Miotsukushi Bridge. A pedestrian- and bicycle-only bridge
spanning the cycling road. Low sunlight filters through the trees. The days are getting shorter. Just a little farther to Kanzanji Onsen. Freedom to ride the other way A morning soak, then riding under the morning sun. On quiet morning roads,
as if pressing each step into the earth. Riding Hama-ichi in reverse—
it might just work. Thank you for watching. Please subscribe and give it a like.
