With our Brompton-riding friend @mani.biyori as our guide, we cycled from Haijima Station to Nerima. We passed by the U.S. military base and through Lake Tama, then enjoyed a delightful lunch at Kikuya, a handmade udon noodle shop.
After that, we arrived in Higashimurayama and paid our respects to the statue of comedian Ken Shimura. Just then, it started to rain.
We took shelter at Wakoku Shoten Cafe, a beautiful space designed by Kengo Kuma, where we relaxed and enjoyed some peaceful time. Finally, we rode on to Nerima and savored the exquisite rice balls from Aida Rice Shop!
Taking detours to various local landmarks and enjoying a leisurely ride — that’s the real charm of cycling with a Brompton ♪
