[Music] Okay. So, hi guys. Hello. Okay. So, first of all, where are you from? Uh, I’m from England. England. Yeah. I’m from Scotland. Scotland originally. Uh, nice to meet you guys. Yeah. Good to meet you. And actually, we met uh this morning. Yeah. And I heard that from you guys. You guys really uh doing awesome traveling in Japan. Okay. So, first of all, uh what made you decide to come to Japan? Well, I love cycling. Mhm. And so do you. And I love cycling. Um and it’s kind of been on my mind for a while. All the mountains in Japan, scenery, the landscapes. Um just looks incredible. Animals. Oh, animals. Um, and I think the food, the food for sure. The food is amazing. Yeah. But I think it came at a time in our lives of like we’re still quite young. How old are you guys? 26. Okay. Okay. 27. And 27. Um, and yeah, I mean, we have no real responsibilities, so we were kind of We’d worked for a bit obviously and saved up enough. Okay. to be able to do this. Um, and yeah, we just thought that’s our jobs. Great. So, are you guys doing cycling in Japan? Yes. What’s your plan? I mean, itinerary. The itinerary is north to south. North to south. What do you mean? Like like literally up north? Like I don’t know. Hokkaido. I mean, we are in Hokkaido right now. So we flew to Sakuro and then we cycled to a wak. Oh my god. And then around Rishiri and then we would have loved to cycle the whole thing but this area we were a bit scared of the bears. Wow. So yeah coming back from Wakai like through the we would have gone through like the center and of Hokkaido and there’s lots of kuma bears. Kuma. Have you seen it? We haven’t seen any. Oh, I saw some footprints though. Oh, really? Yeah. Oh my gosh, that’s so scary. Um, so yeah, we would have loved to cycle all the way down here. Keep going. Now we’ll cycle today, which is Yeah. Yeah. Back on the bikes. Oh, back on the bikes. Yeah. But yeah, we we got um a train. Yeah. Train from Wakana to here, I guess. Oh, yeah. Nobody separation is which? Fukoka. Fukoka. Yeah. By bicycle bicycle that’s crazy. Okay. How long have you been in Japan? Uh two weeks. Two weeks. Two weeks. Two weeks. Two weeks. Yeah. Okay. So, what’s your impression of Japan? Well, well, it’s my second time. So, it is your second time. Okay. And your first time? My first time. Okay. So, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, I want to ask you first. What’s your impression of Japan for me? Mhm. I mean, everyone is extremely polite. Thank you. And actually very helpful. If you ask for help, you help. Um, the train system Mhm. with a bike. Oh, yeah. It’s quite difficult. It’s quite challenging. That’s so true. It’s been a bit frustrating at times. Um, but yeah, I mean, the scenery has been amazing. Obviously, that’s kind of one of the big reasons we came here and lived up to it. So that’s really good. Great. Um the royans have been incredible as well. Um and the food, I mean just the food over the overwhelming thing is the food. Oh yeah. What’s your favorite? Well, we had we’ve had lots of ramen. Oh, ramen. We’ve had clams, scolops. The scolops. Scolops are really nice. We tried to eat some of the food that’s like local to here. Oh, yeah. Um, but yeah, I mean compared to the to England, like the standard of food here, the food you can access on a bike is so much better. And even when we’re cooking, you know, camping food in the UK is just nothing like Okay. Like the mushrooms, the mushrooms are so good. We’re vegetarian. Oh, yeah. But we’ve been eating fish. Right. Right. Right. So, it’s a little bit difficult to manage in Japan, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You order something vegetarian and usually it will come with like pork. But we’re quite flexible. Okay. Well, that’s interesting. Letting ourselves up. And what about you? What’s your impression? Well, my first impression last time was just how calm it made me feel and going around. Nothing is in a rush. Everything is quite well organized and clean and Oh yeah. But now with a bike it’s a bit different because I think the good thing about being here is the public transport the hotels or you know and then now we have a bike we’re kind of making chaos in the system and you feel kind of guilty you know in the you’re in the way and it’s oily but um it’s a very different way to see it but still I think there’s I’m still enjoying that sense of calm and just traveling and everything is just Yeah, it just works. And I love the food. Oh, wow. Yeah. So, what’s the big differences between your country to Japan? Uh, the toilets. Toilet. The toilets here are incredible. Oh, yeah. What do you mean by that? Like flush like Yeah. The the whole all the buttons, the warm sea. The warm sea is so nice. Oh yeah. It’s like an experience in itself. It’s like relaxing. Yes. The toilets in in the UK, in England, they’re not good in comparison. Oh yeah, toilet. Yeah, toilet. Do you speak Japanese? Is it possible to introduce yourself in Japanese? No. [Music] Josh me like nice to meet you. Anything else? I mean do you speak another Okay. So today I’ll tell you some magical word. Okay. So this one please. Oh yes yes you know it. Oh you know it. Could you guess? Where is that? Yeah. Where is the toilet? Yeah. This is kind of like, you know, useful words. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And is there anything uh you want to know in Japanese the word or sentence? Hot and cold. Okay. Yeah. Okay. So hot is and cold is samu. Yes. Hot. Samu. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Oh, important. Important. Yeah. Okay. And what do you think about Japanese hospitality? Oh, perfect. Perfect. Yeah. Really, really nice. Uhhuh. It’s the best. Oh, and the onsons. Good. and having a private bath in some of the well in all of the Ryokans. It’s just the system is just so easy and perfect and it’s just like the well-being is so cozy. Yeah. Yeah. And you guys experienced onen. Yeah. How was that? You know, you we have to take off all clothes. Well, that’s the thing. We love it. We do love it. But coming from the UK, we’re really prude is the word. And we don’t take our clothes off. Yeah, I know, right? But then to But you know, it was quite freeing. And after cycling, it’s with cycling all day and then camping and then you go to the onen. It’s just perfect. Wow. It’s the cleanest I’ve ever been on a bike trip. Where did you go? Did you guys go to onen in Hokkaido? Uh yeah. Three. Three of three on. Wow. Like with Johnson was that remember? No, there was one in Tesio. Okay. Before Wak. There was one in where else did we go? Some coastline. Okay. Okay. On the coast. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. That’s so cool. That’s so cool. Okay. So, last question is going to be like this. Do you have any question about Japan? How do you like it? How do you what how do you find living here? Oh, what is your expectation of the country? Okay. Okay. Okay. So, at least I mean I’m proud of Japanese. I mean I proud of the person who in Japan because actually Japan is kind of unique country. I mean I love traveling so much and I mean you know both side have a good point and you know both but always when I go traveling I just realize how Japan good is you know and history Japanese history is oh my gosh it’s deep. Yeah, really really deep. So, and like uh religion wise it’s kind of interesting in Japan. We have a two different type of religion. The one is Shintoism, the one Buddhism. But we don’t know much about it. I mean almost which means they always following them hard. Yeah. And we think about uh every our behave like even though I don’t know take while take a bath we believe that the god is believing I don’t know seeing us so that’s why our behavior is really good even though nobody stare us. Yeah. So always uh probably God is seeing me now so well behaved. Yeah. This is interesting right? Yeah yeah yeah. So yeah, in uh conclusion, I love Japan. I love the UK also. Yeah, actually my uncle is from the UK. Oh, okay. Yeah. In Wales. In Wales. Yeah. Welish. He’s Wish. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What about your country? I mean, likewise, I want to ask about you guys. I to be honest, I’ve in recent years come to love the UK, but the landscape. It’s more the landscape. The politics are dreadful and it feels like the country is going but the the landscapes in the UK are actually really really beautiful. I can tell totally good for biking for sure. Oh yeah. Yeah. How long have you been like cycling? When did you start? I started in 2020. Oo. And you started probably maybe a bit before that. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. That’s so cool. Okay. So could you say to uh Japanese sub our my channel subscribers actually Japanese so could you say to them like any I don’t know the last uh say something about Japan for your country it’s beautiful and do it by a bike. Do it by a bike. Yeah. Okay. Okay. So, thank you so much for cooperate with my channel and I hope that enjoy rest of Japanese stay. Okay. Okay. Bye-bye. Okay. So, this is for you guys. Yes. Wow. Wow.
