Leaving Nishioyama Station… Ibusuki’s Vegetable Country Satsuma Kagoshima Station Sorry, taking a little detour There’s another station sign here It caught my attention I got a bit curious Is there really a station? But you know, the sign looks faded so I’m not sure how legit it is Was it not here? Have I come further south than before? Probably no station here The mountains are so close This is a nice road To get to Kaimondake, you go left You’d need to stay a week to see everything You can’t see it all in one go What’s this? There’s sand swirling everywhere Holding my breath I’m curious about Tosenkyo too But it says turn right Are we heading to Tosenkyo? I’d like to go there too That was quite a cyclist back there It was a foreign family Carrying so much luggage on their bikes Traveling by bike is amazing Hanase Park Makurazaki Hinokami Park They have karaoke We’ve entered Minamikyushu City Photo spot Nice~ Climbing higher and higher Sehirai Nature Park National Route 226 Ganji’s Landing Site? Shiranami Is that sake? A sake manufacturer maybe? Yeah, it’s a brewery Huge tanks And there’s a bit of a smell Felt like I smelled alcohol for a moment Was it my imagination? Is the ocean getting closer again? What’s this place? Hot dogs? A dog run? We should be able to see the ocean soon Looks like there might be hot springs here Wow, it’s pretty packed with buildings So many clustered together There’s a small rock standing in the ocean Is this Hinokami Park? The wind turbines are spinning—some are stopped, though Makurazaki Station (to the right) Is the fish market center this way? Should we take another convenience store break? Come to think of it, there are no roadside stations Even though it feels like there should be Why is that? There should be more in areas like this Maybe they’re further along the coast There’s a cluster of wind turbines here Wow, it’s beautiful over there Shiranami The sake brewery from earlier? Convenience store break And back on the road The microphone wasn’t recording properly Heading into a suspicious-looking road It started out as a decent path It’s gotten a bit narrower with some fallen leaves Overgrown and quite tight This kind of road just keeps going Some parts are crumbling It’s narrow and wet I’m debating whether to turn back Something slipped I’m worried about getting back Is this even a road anymore? Wait, did it widen? What is this? No way! This is as far as I can go on the bike When I tried to turn back… Is there an ocean here? I saw a beach from above, so I’ll try again Does that mean it leads to the open area? Is there an ocean beyond those bushes? It’s so hot Could it be beyond this point? The trampled plants suggest it’s possible I made it out! Whoa! This is amazing! But it’s covered in trash I managed to make it Wow, so much trash Nobody comes here Looks like a cave No, it’s not a cave Taking a break in the shade No signal here at all Anyway, let’s go Safely I just want to get out safely And I do not recommend this place at all Obviously, it’s dangerous Whether by car, four-wheelers, or two-wheelers I just want shade I saw the ocean, but it’s full of trash This place was a no-go An unexpected oncoming vehicle Someone’s going in Maybe it’s okay with an SUV But I wouldn’t want to go Maybe they’re here for fishing? It might be good for fishing But how do they make a U-turn there? My steering wobbles I didn’t expect to encounter someone here The road was fine at first, but it got super rough near the end Finally, an easier path I’m drenched in sweat Cold sweat and regular sweat We’re back Made it back—thank goodness Another oncoming car?! Wait, they’re driving in there? Driving into that place is crazy Thank you for watching!
