柄の意味:自然界の美しい花や植物をモチーフにしています。花が咲き、実を結ぶ様子は、生命の力強さや豊かさ、そして繁栄を象徴するものとして捉えられてきました。

Pattern Meaning: This design features motifs of beautiful flowers and plants from nature. The blooming of flowers and the bearing of fruit have long been seen as symbols of life’s vigor, abundance, and prosperity.

昭和のハレの日に使われた華やかな着物や帯を使用しています。今ではすでに生産が終了している貴重な素材や織を使用しているものもあります。
柄も縁起の良い花柄や鳥や金糸使いや刺繍や、西陣織など全国から集められた希少な織物からなります。
原材料が高級なため、USED(使用済み)のリメイクだからこそ実現できました。
These pieces feature vibrant kimonos and obi sashes worn on special occasions during the Showa era. Some incorporate precious materials and weaves that are no longer produced today.
The patterns feature auspicious floral motifs, birds, gold thread accents, embroidery, and rare fabrics like Nishijin-ori gathered from across Japan.
Because the raw materials are so high-end, this was only possible through USED (pre-owned) remakes.
【縫製について】
日本最大の鞄の生産地、兵庫県豊岡市にて縫製をしています。
鞄に必要な材料の販売や、ファスナーのYKKを自社工場に持っている会社の、熟練のバッグ職人の手によって生産されています。
柄の配置や上下の向き、持ち手となる帯締めの表裏の指示は都内で行い、その後縫製工場から金型を製作している工場にて金型を作り、その金型によって生地を裁断し、縫製していきます。
着物や帯は刺繍や織などが一つ一つ違い、厚さも異なり凹凸もあるため、大変手間もかかり、熟練の職人でも縫製が難しいと言われます。
豊岡では「古事記」の中に出てくる柳細工で作られた「籠」の技術から伝承された柳行李。
そこから始まった千年もの伝統で育まれた厳しい品質管理のもと、生産されています。
【About Sewing】
Our sewing is done in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan’s largest bag production area.
Production is handled by skilled bag artisans at a company that sells materials essential for bags and owns its own YKK zipper factory.
Pattern placement, orientation, and instructions for the front and back of the handle straps are specified in Tokyo. Subsequently, the sewing factory sends the specifications to a pattern-making factory where patterns are created. These patterns are then used to cut the fabric, and the sewing process begins.
Kimonos and obi sashes vary individually in embroidery, weaving, thickness, and texture, making sewing extremely labor-intensive and challenging even for skilled artisans.
In Toyooka, the willow luggage craft originated from the basket-making techniques described in the Kojiki, using willow branches.
Under strict quality control nurtured by a thousand-year tradition originating from this craft, production continues today.

お母さまやお祖母さまから受け継がれた着物や帯をそのままの形で受け継ぐことが出来なくても、違う形に変えて、より多くの人の手で受け継いでいけたらと思っています。

Every year, over 500,000 tons of clothing, including kimonos, are discarded. Approximately 68% of this is simply thrown away as combustible or non-combustible waste, amounting to kimonos worth about 1 trillion yen being discarded.
Even if we cannot pass down kimonos and obi belts inherited from mothers or grandmothers in their original form, I hope they can be transformed into something different and passed on through the hands of more people.
