Dannycycles Susono forest roads

Last week, I forgot to talk about my uh new bottle cage, which is right down here. It’s from Sim Works. It’s called the John Cage bottle cage. Totally artsy fartsy. It’s got handcrafted uh welds there. I mean, it’s turning my bicycle into a total hipster mobile. It’s great up here. I mean, it was what, 68° all day long. Cloudy, perfect cycling weather. And I just wanted to explore some gravel road routes that I found on Ride with GPS under the notion that I probably wouldn’t be able to ride on all the roads because of the gates that I saw on Google Maps. I want to respect the roads, but that’s basically the theme of this entire video is whether or not I can pass to pass or not to pass. And uh you’ll see what happens. O Navasento Kobai. Yoshi. Heat. Oh, Sam shoot. Oh, it’s exactly this kind of route that makes me think about whether I should be on a mountain bike or a gravel bike. Most of the time, this gets pretty thick and grally, so it’s really hard to control the bicycle. This gravel bike that is um so I really have to slow down. So maybe that’s just a compromise that you do. That’s my first gate and I choose not to go through it. Yeah, this for me is hard ter hard tail territory. I do not feel confident at all on this kind of road going downhill. Just going to take her easy. I’d be doing double the speed on my hard tail, man. But overall, I think Well, you can’t really tell here. I mean, that it’s so deep. The gravel’s so deep. It feels sloshy in a way. It’s like almost like you’re going through like some sort of muddy route even though there’s no mud. Makes it hard to do cornering and stuff like that. I’m not very good at that anyway. Show H7. [Music] Don’t forget the kid Heat. Heat. That’s good. These types of signs I don’t mind blowing through because they mean that the road is usually passable but it’s under construction for whatever reason. And usually, as I’ve talked to uh Japanese farmers and uh road surveyors and construction workers, usually the case is that a bicycle can get through, but uh a car can’t, which is why they put up the sign. Those other gates are so, you know, they’re so permanent is what I want to say. So, it’s less of a case of, oh, it’s usually passable, and more of a case of they don’t want you going through those roads. Shizuka. So done up there. Cool. Cool. [Applause] Huh? Is that the cool [Applause] I’m pretty noisy here, but I It is dead silent in there. It’s so weird. [Applause] Hey, fine. [Music] All right. Sasat Scott. Sasat Scott. Let’s see how far I can get through this. Could have been smoother with more bomb track speed. Heat. Heat. Woo! Look at that. Nice. Where could I fight in this man? Holy Oh, hey. Hey, Hey. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Kumoska lingo. Hi. Hi. Hi. This is So tuggy sugi. [Applause] I think I’m gonna I think I’m gonna respect this gate anyway. I mean, it’s probably fun, but somebody doesn’t want you here, then the hell. Don’t go there. Tell you what, this leather seat, even though it’s not broken in, has a lot of bounce to it, which makes these roads a little bit easier to deal with than my previous saddle. Liking the feel, man. Liking the feel. Heat. Heat. [Music] Danny Psych. Daddy Cles. is [Music] so [Music] I don’t know the way I entered there was no gate But from this side there’s a gate. So I don’t know how to know whether or not to ride a road or not. Sometimes well another gate. So, basically, I’m back to my car and I’ve only done like 15 kilometers out of the 42 kilometer route because of all the gate blockages. I mean, I guess if I were a braver soul, I would have done a lot more, but I just don’t feel like I should be going through places that are so permanently set up to prevent trespassers. So, I was just kind of like, you know what? I’m I don’t want to break any rules, you know? I’m already a white guy. I don’t want to, you know, make people think that. I don’t know what I’m trying to be a representative. So, you know, I’m just trying to be a good person, I guess. But then I I turn off and I look at this place and there the gate is completely open. Look at this. So, I’m like, this seems fine, right? I mean, this there’s nothing wrong with this, right? I mean, come on. I mean, there’s a golf course right there. There’s the gate is open. There’s no signs or anything. So, I pass a bunch of random vans and stuff like that. I notice some cameras and stuff or whatever, but I’m deep in this one little space. I don’t know what’s going on. This freaking little house, it’s it’s so quiet back here. And I’m like, I don’t know what it looks like. Some hut from the Evil Dead. You know how it’s set up. It just looks so perfectly It kind of looks old and new at the same time. I don’t know if you get that feeling like it was like set up to look like this, you know? Look how clean it is. I don’t know. There was something off about it which made me feel a bit nervous. And I start riding around here trying to figure out what if there’s any other trails back here. And look how the the uh on the left hand side there’s that fire place thing. I can’t My English is losing. I don’t know what that thing is anymore. Entolu I can’t remember the freaking English name for it. Chimney. the chimney is so separated from the house. It’s like what’s the point of that? And then there’s like this marking on the trees and stuff like that. I’m like I start getting this Murakami Haruki feeling like there’s some weird cult thing going on here. And anyway, I mean there’s, you know, I just saw some people and I I I don’t know if it I don’t know what was going on. So, I’m just riding my bicycle through this random forest area. And it up till this point I I felt like I was perfectly fine, you know? I mean, aside from the weird feeling I had seeing that strange little house [Music] Hi. So, it turns out the place that I thought was completely free to go through was uh a private spot for uh a film crew. They’re they’re filming some drama. I didn’t bother to ask who was in it or anything like that or if they need any extras, but it does seem like a perfect little place. And judging from the creepiness of that hut house, whatever it is, they probably made that because as I was saying, it kind of looked new and old. was like purposely made to look kind of very eerie looking, especially there’s moss and like little uh branches on the top of the roof and how the chimney is disconnected from the main building itself, which is very odd. So, I I guess they’re they’re doing stuff. I think the main crew is on the lefthand side. I didn’t bother to film any of it, but uh you know, I guess that was something interesting to experience on this trip. I didn’t expect that, but you know, I’ve been looking at signs all day long, gates and things to make sure I don’t go anywhere I’m not supposed to. And the place that has no sign whatsoever is the place where they want you out. They want to keep you out there. So whatever. Damn these cycles. [Music] Damn cycles. [Music] is Give me [Music]
