伊平屋島は、沖縄県最北端に位置する自然豊かな離島。
面積約21.72平方キロメートル、、人口は約1,100人（2025年1月時点）
豊かな自然と歴史、そして温かい島民のおもてなしの心「イヒャジューテー」が魅力の島です。

伊平屋島は、琉球王朝の第一尚王朝（（だいいちしょうおうちょう）を築いた尚巴志（しょうはし）の祖先である屋蔵大主（やぐらうふしゅ）の出身地として知られています。 また、島内には古代の貝塚や伝統的な祭祀場（さいしじょう）が点在し、歴史と文化の深さを感じさせます。

島の特産品には、黒糖、泡盛、もずく、そして「てるしの米」と呼ばれるひとめぼれ系の島産米があります。 これらの地元食材を使用した料理は、訪れる人々の舌を楽しませます。

伊平屋島の海は、「イヘヤブルー」と言われるほど透明度が高く、
美しいサンゴ礁が広がっていてシュノーケリングやダイビングスポットとして人気があります。 色とりどりの魚やサンゴを間近で観察でき、自然の美しさを満喫できます。

伊平屋島へのアクセスは、沖縄本島北部の今帰仁村にある運天港からフェリー「いへや」が1日2便運航されています。 所要時間は約1時間20分です。
