ブロンプトンとフツーの日曜日。港区でヒルクライム編。猛暑なので朝ライド。東京タワー、六本木、赤坂、麻布、広尾、そして三田。都心で獲得標高300メートル。

It’s cool. Nanbuzaka. We’re going down. From the Patent Office (Crossing), we pass the US Embassy, go to Sakurazaka, and then head back towards Roppongi. And Sakurazaka. And here is a lovely slope. See, isn’t it lovely? Having gone down (a slope), we have to go up again. Now starting from the bottom of Tanbatanizaka. (On the left) This is Toyo Eiwa Jogakuin Junior and Senior High School. On the right is the International House of Japan. (This area) including this site is being redeveloped by Mori Building. And Toriizaka. Kurayamizaka. After Kurayamizaka, I’ll go down Daikokuzaka and then up another steep slope. Daikokuten. Tanukizaka. After turning the corner, there is a sign here explaining Gamaike Pond. And Hiroo Garden Hills. (a famous luxury apartments) Then we go down Hottazaka. And then we go up Ushizaka. Ah, it’s cool! And then Mitachizaka. We’re going down a gentle slope. Nanbuzaka. The sun is getting higher, and there is less shade. I think I’ll wrap it up soon. Finally, I’d like to do three tough hills. First, Hinatazaka. This one is short, so it’s over quickly. Then Tsunazaka. We pass by the Italian Embassy and go to Kasuga Shrine. and Keio University Library. And the final hill is Hijirizaka. Arimaston Building. I finish the ride at Hijirizaka today.

暑い。暑すぎる。しかし9時過ぎまでなら何とか走れるかもしれない。本日は30度を超える暑さになる前に、スタート8時、終了9時半として、ブロンプトンで港区の坂を走れるだけ走ってきた。獲得標高は約300メートル。まあまあかもしれない。

左上に標高データを表示しましたので、東京都心の高低差の変化もお楽しみ下さい。港区の高台の最高標高はだいたい30メートル前後です。10～15回坂を登れば大体獲得標高300メートルに達します。
