Can I ride Scotland’s NC 500 in 24H on World’s Fastest Electric Motorcycle?🏴 (Part 1)
I’m back in Scotland to take on the legendary NC500, the North Coast 500 route around the Scottish Highlands, but with a twist. Starting in Inverness, I am attempting to complete the entire 500-mile loop in just 24 hours on an electric motorcycle. This journey is full of epic landscapes, historic castles, dramatic coastlines, hidden gems, charging challenges, and plenty of unexpected moments along the way. From the fairytale Dunrobin Castle to the northern tip at John o’ Groats, remote harbors, secret caves, and winding highland roads, this ride shows Scotland in its most breathtaking form. Along the way I share the realities of traveling by EV in the Highlands, including charging stops, crowded tourist spots, the risk of running out of battery, and the freedom of the open road.
This adventure is also about personal milestones: celebrating a birthday, saying goodbye to Candy after a month of riding together, and looking ahead to future journeys across Estonia, Scandinavia and Africa.

Mark I loved the film, well I love all your films. This one was near home. I live in Ross-shire maybe 20 miles north of Inverness. If I had known you were this near I would have wanted to see you and shake your hand. You are better without a tent in the North of Scotland this time year as the midges would devour you. The NC500 has made the North here very busy. You took beautiful shots of roads and places I know so well. This is so different from following you in India! Take care.
Bro nice to see, one thing i notice, there are less trees in scotland, highlight the issue. 😊Because trees needed for the world beauty, clean less of wind, good weather for living being, human, animals, birds, etc and we fight global warming here in Pakistan, which was badly affected, specially the kpk province where floods destroying many villages, and many people killed from cloud burst, so highlight, and technology transfer for like us countries, to early warning station's in Pakistan, to save lives, let's go together, for good, 👊✌️

I kept waiting to spot the first Tesla in town five years ago. Now there are charging stations with multiple Tesla's. I've seen a HUMMER EV, a couple of Rivian's and Lucid. There are a lot of electric mobility two wheeler's, but nowhere to charge publicly. I may have seen a Zero, but electric motorcycles are very rare here. A short riding season with a high price may have something to do with it. The electric snowmobile factory is closed here.

A really nice Summer place to be. That mountain area is magnificent. I imagine there might have been a war there a long time ago when the men wore clanky metal armor wielding swords and heavy stones. Every land has a history of invasions and wars so that might have been the most northern of the invading Roman empire. It'd be awesome to go there and to the Orkney islands in the Summer. The old history had something to do with two half brother earls in sibling rivalry competing for the one position as the earl so one killed the other causing war for the population was split on which one they backed. The intention of the inbred ruling royals was to produce one individual of all positions to be filled, but ended up with one too many oftentimes creating a conflict of interests for many kids died young or were too stupid to manage a land assuming an assigned position in life. I imagine everywhere is full in August and the bugs are a real mess, but September and October are your best days in Europe.

What's the rush?
What's the point, it's a tourist route not a race track, all you do is annoy locals and tourists alike and earn motorcyclists a bad name similar to that earned by campervan folks who didn't give a bugger for anyone else. Can you do it in less than twenty-four yeah, easily at an average speed of about thirty all worked out on a calculator.

Hey Marc, if I may ask a question unrelated to your video. Now that you are back in Europe, would you be able to estimate what are your monthly costs for lodging and food and motorcycle insurance? What is your option for health insurance on the road? My fusband and I are planning on having a base in Poland (relocating from US) and travel extensively on two bikes through Europe and beyond, maybe as soon as next year. We are trying to calculate the costs of living. As always, I am enjoying watching your adventures through countries and continents and we wish you continous fun on Vee 🙂
