¡A un PRECIO DE LOCOS! Somos turistas y logramos comprar un MOTORHOME en España 😱 ¿Cómo?

We’re super happy because in this video we’re finally going to tell you what our next home will be . How are we going to continue traveling the world? But in addition to that , we’re going to tell you how we did as tourists when we bought our motorhome in Europe. All the information we wish we had when we started looking for our new home on wheels in Spain, we’ve put together in this super-comprehensive guide. If you want shortcuts, to save time and a lot of money, look for the link in the description of this video. And if you want to know which house we chose from all the options we looked at, stay tuned, because you’ll soon be meeting our new motorhome. When Italy rejected us, it was in Spain that we found the embrace of family and the legal opportunity for ownership. We just achieved our first administrative victory. We each now have our own NIE number to form a new household and continue this strong desire to discover the world. So, we’re not just going to show you the motorhome we chose, but you’re also going to learn about the foundation from which we’re going to build this new stage of our journey. Because it may look like just a European motorhome, but in reality, it’s much more than a simple vehicle. This is our new refuge, from which we’ll be able to return to adventures, to exploration, and to push our limits to go wherever we want. [Music] This spectacular house you’re seeing is a Fiat Ducato 1.9 turbo diesel. It has less than 160,000 km. It’s immaculate, we can’t believe it. The engine is beautiful, and the bodywork of this house is made by a German company called Dethleffs. The model is an Esprit 580 because it’s 5.8 meters long. Crazy. And it has some secret compartments. Look. A storage compartment. We’re not going to go into detail. No, my suit, right? Yes, yes, yes. Here’s the suit. Look at Guillo’s suit. It’s all hanging up. We have the backpacks here, well, tools. At first, it was just going to be the, what do you say?, the suit room, but it ended up deforming into the everything room. Here are the bikes hanging. I mean, the truth is, this already came with the truck, and the garbage god gave us the bikes, so we’re fully equipped. We just had to buy this sign, which is like a rule so we can ride around here safely. But let’s see it inside, please. Come, I’ll show you this dream house. Come, come, come, come, come, come, come, come. Look what this is like. You can’t imagine how happy we are to finally be welcoming you to the new Rodando por Ahi home. A house we’ve been looking for, this was our best option, a house we fought for, it took a lot of hard work to get it, and the space it has, the light you see, it’s truly one of the things we completely fell in love with. You’re probably realizing it’s a capuchin house, right? That’s when we have the bed above what is the cabin, a bed that’s 1.50m x 2m wide, a memory foam mattress. Here’s the little ladder that goes in and out. We have a skylight up top. Here too, another window over there. Light comes in from all sides. Each and every one of the windows has this mosquito net, blackout, and they open outwards. Look how crazy it is. Here we have the kitchen. Here we cook. A sink that lifts up and water. And something very important that I really like, we have a trivalent refrigerator, it runs on 12V, 220V, and gas. We have a freezer and fresh water for this killer summer. This is… this speaks to having a lot of space, being able to hang clothes with so much space. Listen to me, here we have direct access to what is the little room where Guille’s suit is. See? We can see it over here. Two entrances. This here is very messy because it’s my part, so you won’t see it now. And the icing on the cake is back here because we don’t have a small bathroom. It’s not a bathroom that’s assembled and disassembled. Instead, we’ve completely evolved, and now this is our bathroom, our shower. Look, I’m going to go in and show you why this house won me over. You turn the toilet over here a little, and we have a spectacular shower screen that doesn’t wet the rest of the bathroom. So all that’s left is the shower, which is also here. It works too, right? I mean, You’ll be seeing it in action, you’ll be seeing us here a lot, using it, making the most of it, making it a part of our daily lives, but the truth is, we were really looking forward to showing you this house, and now we’re going to tell you how much it cost us, how we got it, and above all, how we were able to buy it as tourists. Let’s sit down here. The first thing we really have to confess is that this wasn’t our original plan. I mean, when we came to Europe, when we still had hopes of becoming citizens, of being locals, we imagined building a new motorhome. We’ve already got a lot of experience with that. We thought we’d be able to tailor it exactly to our needs. We already have the design in mind, maybe a 4×4 we imagined. We had even imagined being able to buy it in Germany, where they say they have the best prices in all of Europe. The thing is, it just wasn’t possible. Having to solve the housing issue in the very short term, being tourists, we decided we had to have a motorhome immediately. I mean, everything had to be immediate, both in terms of housing and for hitting the roads. And the truth is, we got it. I mean, they gave it to us spotless, clean, washed, with an oil change, a belt change. Well, it’s something we’re used to here, but I mean, we saw a lot, right? And of everything we saw, this was the one in the best condition. It already has it, I mean, it’s a 2000 truck, but the upholstery and all that… But the 2000 model year is different here than it is there (Argentina). I mean, the other one was actually a 94, and it was like… Did it look older? Yeah, yeah. I mean, (laughs), I don’t want to. Well, it was pretty crazy, wasn’t it? The issue of moving, because what happened to me in the Kangoo, what happened to me in the Ducato, is that as we were doing it, it’s like you start getting used to the place, you start seeing yourself, you start to shape, I don’t know, dreams, how you’re going to live there, you know? It’s like you start planning, and here, on the other hand, it was like they gave us the key and we already put the clothes inside. And it was like, well, okay, this is our house, you know? It’s like there wasn’t that process of moving little by little, but it was already ready and we like it more and more, I mean, it’s spectacular. We really thought of it as a bit of a summer style. It has a summer style, it’s like you could park in front of the sea. It’s everything we imagined with this van. Uh, so, well, now we’ll just have to enjoy it and start changing the views from this window, right? Because this is our living room, our dining room, this is our work office. We really love the space because we can leave our computers next to it, eat in this little space, and the truth is that everyday life, our day-to-day life, is super practical. The size is great, we love it. So, little by little, we’re going to start showing you what life is like in here and start rolling it out and changing the landscape outside the window. As we’ve already shown you, we search a lot; I mean, we ‘re not just into making decisions and letting whatever happens happen. We searched all over Spain, saw more than 20 motorhomes, and not to mention the pre-selection we’d already made online. We saw, I don’t know, 1,000, 2,000. We swept a ton of doorways, everything, every doorway to be able to choose better. We found this one in the center—what was the name of the town? Almería. Uh, nearby, right? Uh, or oh, I forgot. Orgiva. We found this one in Orgiva. It’s a very small town in the mountains. Anyway, the guy was an Englishman who had brought it from Germany. Well, I don’t know, he was going to live in England again, so he was selling it. That’s what he told us, and well, here it is, now it’s the Rolling Around part. We paid nothing more and nothing less than €25,500 right there, I mean, it wasn’t a freebie, it wasn’t very expensive either, but really, I mean, we can attest that in all this change, in this process, in bringing it those 500 km here, it was like there was no failure, there was nothing to do to it. It’s crazy. It’s a different use for it here. Of course. It’s like you don’t have to be there watching over the vehicle, I don’t know, but you go, you get the care, the logical and necessary maintenance, but well, for us it’s a new world. We’ll have to do it… we’ll have to do it. They’ll come. From now on… The manual The manual is all in German and has all the service stamps, everything. The truth is that that was also something that… was one of the factors that made us vote for this one because it has all the manuals, it’s super complete, and well, it’s like it came with the entire history already documented, which is important when you’re going to buy a used vehicle. But we still had to do a couple of things, obviously because of the use we give it . For example, we have two gaming computers, so to speak, that run 8-10 hours a day, so we had to put the panels on. We put a 600W panel on top plus the 150W ones it already had. So it’s like we have everything configured with super power. And well, as a final touch of the move, we put up the painting here that represents the Banda del Aguante (Bachelorette Band) with 100,000 subscribers on YouTube. It was the touch that we’re finally moved. Hey! And these… oh, we bought them in Italy before we had a motorhome. Listen to me, we have… Ettore already messed up them, I’ll confess, we left him just to go to the supermarket and he broke them. That was our only touch. But yes, but listen to me, we have Italian cushions. In a way, being able to show you our house, to say that we have our own roof, that it’s a motorhome, that tomorrow the stage begins, we’re back on the road, we’re rediscovering, we’re traveling again, it’s like a super mega archi important milestone because if you’ve been watching all the previous videos, you’ll see that, I mean, we arrived in Europe with only two suitcases each. And little by little, in a way, this was starting from scratch and it’s painful, it seems like you’re going to grab a shopping cart and you’re going to say, ” This is so fun.” And you’re going to start buying things. But well, first of all, the budget for that wasn’t enough, and it’s also super stressful not having a glass, not having cutlery, and when you say, “Okay, I solved it,” you were missing the towel. And when you went to buy the towel, you were missing the hook to hang it. So, for me, that was one of the things—well, not one of the most stressful things, but it really wasn’t fun, not even a little bit, yes, it wasn’t the fun part, especially because, well, we were already wearing ourselves out, right? And it’s something we hadn’t imagined would happen in this starting from scratch of having to think, oh, I’m going to make a mash and I don’t have a potato peeler, I don’t have a potato ricer, you know? Those things you say, but I know where the one I had in the blue Ducato is, which was in Buenos Aires, and I know specifically where it is. Another thing, in this matter of installing the panel, right? What Guillo needs is, “Oh, I’m missing two screws,” and we had to move the whole house, very carefully. Of course, gathering the things we had laid out. Maybe we had put the panel up and I’m missing the screw. So I have to take the panel down, we have to put it back in here, go to Jerez, which is 30 km because it was Sunday, to the supermarket, which is like an Easy supermarket here. I mean, it’s a labor of labor, I mean, it’s not easy. We went through a lot of trouble, eh, more than anything, this, although it’s not a complaint like, oh, what we had to do , is like a little background information so that in case you’re thinking about taking this leap, like we did, of starting to buy a vehicle in Europe or in another country , or well, in a place other than your own, eh, you can also think about this other side, right? These little things, these accessories that one needs on a daily basis, well, when you see the general plan you don’t think that it’s going to take so much time, but the truth is that yes, you see, like we sat down the first night and it was, well, what do we need? And two plates, two glasses, well, and which one and well, and those things and start managing the money to be able to buy the things that one needs to be able to be more calm and live here inside. And I’m going to show you before continuing to give information what it is, because not only have the humans of this house improved and progressed, but also the king of the trip has his own bed, that is, his own room, because this is the cabin, right? the part of the cabin and one closes that gray curtain that you see here and this gray that you see here and the gentleman remains with his privacy that sometimes spies on you there a little to see that It’s all good, but nothing. I mean, he has his place, so the king of this trip is traveling as he deserves , depending on his little memory foam mattress, also a luxury for everyone. Sometimes the guacho disappears, disappears, and you don’t see him until the next day, and you say, “He’s alive and well, belly up , all sprawled out.” Well, let’s talk a little about serious things regarding the paperwork. Of course. We’re going to tell you how we did as tourists to be able to buy the vehicle here in Spain. And the truth is that the process, while the requirements aren’t crazy, does take a lot into account. You have to take into account the time it will take to acquire them, and some of the ones we’re going to tell you about, you can start processing from the consulate in your country before you travel here if your idea is to buy a motor home, a camper van here in Spain, because here in Spain the bureaucracy is super slow, the time is enormous, and for everything, they require an appointment. So, we had to redesign our plan, and it was actually quite a challenge. I mean, from researching, from figuring out what paperwork we needed to actually getting it, it was quite a challenge. But if you go ahead with the plan and take note of what we’re going to tell you, it’ll be much more practical. The first thing you need is a foreigner identification number, which is like a quid, but for foreigners here in Spain. With that number, you’ll be registered in the system. In addition to the NIE, you’ll need to be registered there. In that case, a friend, acquaintance, someone you trust can give you the official declaration of residence in Spain. You can register there because with those two requirements, you’ll be able to transfer the vehicle. I also want to clarify that in theory it’s very easy, but in practice it becomes a bit more complicated because the numbers they’ll give you will show incompatibilities because you’re not—you’re not a foreign resident, but rather a tourist. So, you’re going to need reference numbers and other things that you won’t have, obviously. So, I advise you, after you’ve seen the motor home of your dreams, and you’ve agreed with the seller and so on, to do it with a manager, because that manager can take a couple of leaps and unblock a couple of situations. We’re very self-taught people, meaning, we do what we can resolve ourselves, and we almost never, if we can avoid it, go to a professional, a manager, or an agent. But in this case, we really recommend it because it makes things easier. At the moment, in the hustle and bustle, you’re in another country, with different laws and other requirements, so it would be good to have that extra tip. Another thing that was a pain, once you have the vehicle, you won’t be able to drive it. Don’t even think about driving it without insurance, because here they’re super strict, and insurance isn’t just something you go to, you just get it. Being a foreigner, only a few insurance companies will give you that, so you’ll have to ask around. And once you find that insurance company, it’s also quite a challenge to get it covered for, well, the vehicle itself, as a motor home, as a type, and for that. It was also very difficult for us because of how old it is, I think in this case it was more than 25 years old, so it was from the year 2000. Yes, from the year 2000. So, we went around in circles until we found an insurance company that finally insured us, which is also not cheap. Of course, it’s like you’re coming from, you’re coming from, you start from, you have no history, so that’s going to impact the final price of what you have to pay, and it’s not cheap. I mean, if they charge you, if they thought they were going to charge you 1,000, they’re going to charge you 5,000. Yes, but well, but well, you’ll be able to walk, I mean, it’s the price, you’ll be able to buy a good vehicle in very good condition, but well, on the other hand, you’re starting to be in the history, at some point you have to do it, so it’s the consequence of coming and buying the vehicle here. I know it may seem like a lot of information, that at first it seems simple, you read it, you look it up, you don’t listen and say, “Ah, well, it’s feasible.” Eh, but at the moment of starting the Procedures and so on, a lot of questions arise that you’ll probably start to have when considering your particular case, when you’re coming, and so on. Hey, we’ve gained a lot of experience in this search for a motor home, so we’re thinking of creating a guide for people who want to take this step and want to come and buy a motorhome here. So stay tuned, we’re going to publish it, uh, we’re going to show you the paperwork, we’re going to make some charts, I don’t know, we haven’t thought about it yet, but we’re going to do it because it’s really no walk in the park and there isn’t much information on the internet either, I mean, as far as there is, but with so much information that there seems to be, in the end they end up not saying anything. And with our experience, I think it’s going to be useful to a lot of people. Hey, take this moment to leave any questions you have in the comments, whatever comes to mind, whether you’d prefer a live stream, a guide, whatever would interest you most so we can adapt all this information and channel it through some means, whether it’s a video or a written guide that you can download and have with you. The truth is, we didn’t want to overwhelm you with so much technical information about the house; we wanted it to be educational. We wanted to share, more than anything, the joy we have of finally unveiling our house, the house of Rodando por ahí, the ship that will take us on adventures. We’ll start seeing it in action tomorrow. We want to be dynamic too, right? Tire you out, right? You’ll see it soon, you’ll know it through and through because it’s going to be our home and it’s going to be the base from which we’ll go out to show you the world, to show you these new adventures. Thanks for all the messages of support you’ve left us. The truth is, it’s been a super long process. We’re happy to finally be making this video. It’s like a brand new thing for us, and starting tomorrow, we’ll be back on the adventure, back on the roads, so don’t miss the next Rodando por ahí videos. Bye, see you. But that ‘s not all. We still need to show you the improvements we made to our new house and the essential equipment we bought to be able to get back on the road and live comfortably there. And there’s also one very important matter to resolve: we have to decide which country we’re going to travel to to continue our journey. Don’t forget that we’re in contreroj with the days, as you say, in the Schengen Discounting space. So don’t miss how this adventure continues. We’ll be waiting to tell you how it goes in the next Rodando por ahí video.

Bravissimi 👏👏👏
