Teacher’s Sabbatical Day 5: Cycling from Otaru to Iwanai: 59km, Hokkaido, Japan
Okay friends and family. This is day five of the teachers sabbatical. Second day of uh cycling. Today we cycled from Otaru to Iani. And this is uh Eva and I very small nowadays. This used to be very big apparently because guess the port fishing and commercial port facilitated uh the in installation of uh companies because we have lots of big warehouses and shops which seem to be closed permanently. Anyway, this is one of the streets and and that’s the main street which runs through the town. That’s a crossroads and not many things open. a few shops and restaurants. And this is one of the convenience stores, Seikcom Mart, apparently only to be found at Okira. And that’s the salvation because you can buy something of any kind of food at any time, 24 hours. Oh, no. It’s 6. So, it’s closed midnight until 6 6:00 in the morning. But some of the shops are open 24 hours. Okay, that’s where we will get our evening meal. See you soon. Bye-bye.
