Have you heard of Ehime Prefecture in Japan? 🇯🇵

It’s still a lesser known area but definitely worth a visit, especially if you love cycling with breathtaking ocean views 🚴‍♀️🌊

The Shimanami Kaido Cycling Road is a 70 kilometre stretch that connects Imabari City in Ehime to Onomichi City in Hiroshima.

It crosses over six islands and offers spectacular views of the Seto Inland Sea and the surrounding coastlines.

There are also scenic observation decks along the way, including the Hanaguri Seto Observation Platform on Omishima and Mt. Kiro on Oshima (#kirosanobservatory )🚴‍♀️

My highlight was definitely the #kurushimakaikyobridge , one of the longest suspension bridges in the world at 4,105 metres in length.
The view is absolutely out of this world.

I recommend starting your ride from the Imabari side in Ehime so you don’t miss the most stunning view, as it’s the first bridge you cross from that side 🍊

We rented our bikes at Sunrise Itoyama in Imabari!
They have a great range, including cross bikes, e-bikes, kids’ bikes, and even bikes with child seats.
