Hi, we’re Bryan and Sébastien and Guillaume, and it’s day 39 from Fukuoka to Tokyo by bike! Our morning was devoted to visiting Takayama, with its small markets, its traditional alleys and especially Takayama Jin’ya: the last administrative building , still intact dating from the Edo period. We left the city in midday to face new elevation changes in the direction of Hirayu, our last stop before the valley of Kamikochi. The next day, a beautiful climb awaited us and we finally reached Kamikochi, a true gem nestled in the heart of the Japanese Alps. As soon as we arrived, we went for a walk to admire the surrounding nature and meet the snow monkeys that populate the valley. And we’ll see you tomorrow for the continuation of the adventure.
Notre matinée a été consacrée à la visite de Takayama, avec ses petits marchés, ses ruelles traditionnelles et surtout le Takayama Jin’ya, le dernier bâtiment administratif encore intact datant de l’époque Edo.
Nous avons quitté la ville en milieu de journée pour affronter de nouveaux dénivelés en direction de Hirayu, notre dernière étape avant la vallée de Kamikōchi.
Le lendemain, une belle montée nous attendait et nous avons enfin atteint Kamikōchi, un véritable bijou niché au cœur des Alpes japonaises.
À peine arrivés, nous sommes partis nous balader pour admirer la nature environnante et croiser les singes des neiges qui peuplent la vallée !
