【1泊2日で巡る東北!】北秋田ツーリング2025年 田沢湖・寒風山・男鹿半島を400Xで走る絶景バイク旅

Home in Koga City, Ibaraki Prefecture Every day from May to June, the weather forecast predicted rain on the weekends. I planned a two-day, one-night motorcycle trip to take advantage of the rare sunny days. Since it was a long distance, I set out as soon as the date changed. I set off toward the spectacular scenery of northern Akita. I left Koga City and took the Tohoku Expressway from Sano City. I drove north on the expressway through the night. I entered the Tohoku Chuo Expressway at the Fukushima Junction. We will head north through Yamagata to Akita Prefecture, aiming for Lake Tazawa. We will stop by Lake Tazawa and Lake Hosen to enjoy the lakeside scenery. We will drive along National Route 105 to the lush greenery of Kitakita City. We will aim for the stunning views of Hanabusa Mountain on the Oga Peninsula. On the way back, we will drive along the pleasant coastal Akita Tenno Line. The goal for the day is Yokote City in Akita Prefecture. This is my first motorcycle trip to northern Akita in about three years, and I am very excited. Ibaraki Prefecture, National Route 354, Koga City, Mikuni Bridge The temperature is 23°C, and the air is comfortable even at night. Headlights and streetlights gently illuminate the night road. Tochigi Prefecture, Tohoku Expressway, Sano-Fujioka Tollgate We head north on the Tohoku Expressway from the Sano-Fujioka IC. We proceed toward Fukushima, crossing the northern Kanto region. We cover a lot of distance during the night. Tochigi Prefecture, Tohoku Expressway, Kamikawachi SA area It is past 2 a.m., and we continue driving through the night. The road is pitch black with no lights. Tochigi Prefecture, Tohoku Expressway, Nasu Kogen SA (downhill) About three hours after departure, we take a break. After driving through the long night, we take a breather at Nasu Kogen SA. The service area is filled with the air of the late night. Fukushima Prefecture, Tohoku Expressway, near Koriyama Central IC We enter Fukushima Prefecture, and the sky begins to brighten slightly. The quiet atmosphere of dawn begins to drift in from the eastern sky. Fukushima Prefecture, Tohoku Expressway, Ootama Village The sky brightens, and the ridgeline of Adatara Mountain comes into view. With an elevation of 1,700 meters, its gentle mountain contours are a distinctive feature. It is one of Fukushima Prefecture’s representative mountains. Fukushima Prefecture, Tohoku Expressway, Fukushima JCT Before 5 a.m., the sky has brightened. From Fukushima JCT, we head north toward the Tohoku Central Expressway toward Yamagata and Shinjo. There is a toll booth at the fork in the road. Fukushima Prefecture, Tohoku Central Expressway, Fukushima City Yamagata Prefecture, Tohoku Central Expressway, Kuriko Tunnel We entered Yamagata Prefecture inside the tunnel. At approximately 9 km in length, it is one of the longest tunnels in the Tohoku region. After exiting the tunnel, we enter Yonezawa City. Yamagata Prefecture Tohoku Chuo Expressway Yonezawa City Yamagata Prefecture Tohoku Chuo Expressway Kaminoyama City The scenery of Kaminoyama City, surrounded by mountains, spreads out before us. The morning sun rises, gently coloring the sky. Yamagata Prefecture Tohoku Chuo Expressway Tendou Main Line Tollgate Passing through the Tohoku Chuo Expressway and Tendou Main Line Tollgate. In the toll section, there is a distance-based toll system and a main line tollgate. There are also some free sections, and improvements are underway. Yamagata Prefecture Tohoku Chuo Expressway Shinjo-Murokawa IC Endpoint The endpoint, Shinjo-Murokawa IC, is approaching. From here, the road merges into a general road. We enter National Route 13 and proceed north through Shinjo City. The fuel gauge was in reserve, creating an anxious situation. Yamagata Prefecture Kanayama Town, we stop at a gas station. Refueling complete, so I can relax for now. I continue my journey northward. Yamagata Prefecture National Route 13 Yamagata City Ono-me I am driving on National Route 13. The gentle winding road is pleasant. The city is nearby, and the scenery is peaceful. Akita Prefecture National Route 13 Yuzawa City Kamiiwai We have entered Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture. This is the southernmost city in Akita Prefecture, surrounded by mountains. Akita Prefecture National Route 13 Yokote City Yasuda The road continues with good visibility. We drive through a quiet area with few buildings. Akita Prefecture Prefectural Route 258 Senboku City Kakunodate Town We have entered Senboku City, Akita Prefecture. This is a vast area known for its natural beauty. It is also famous as a producer of delicious rice. Akita Prefecture, Akita Matagi Road, Senboku City, Nishiki Town Matagi Road is the nickname for National Route 341. It runs through a mountainous region where hunting culture is deeply rooted. This road leads to the entrance of Lake Tazawa. Akita Prefecture, Lake Tazawa Lakeshore Line, Lake Tazawa Entrance The sign for Lake Tazawa comes into view, indicating that the destination is approaching. The road continues along the lakeshore scenery. The symbol of Lake Tazawa, the Tatsuko Statue, comes into view. Akita Prefecture Lake Tazawa Tatsuko Statue The clear blue lake water comes from a depth of 423 meters. You can also enjoy the scenery from the lake on a sightseeing boat. Small fish gather on the clear lake surface. There is a small shrine next to the Tatsuko Statue. Kansha Shrine is a shrine dedicated to Princess Tatsuko. The blue lake and golden statue create a mysterious landscape. Akita Prefecture Lake Tazawa Lakeside Line We proceed along the shore of Lake Tazawa. The view opens up in places, revealing the lake surface. The peaceful waterside scenery calms the mind. Akita Prefecture Tazawa Lake Lakeside Road Continue along the pleasant lakeside road for about 7 minutes. Lake Tazawa is the 19th largest lake in Japan. It is about 20 km in circumference and can be circled in about 30 minutes by car. Akita Prefecture Prefectural Road 38 Senboku City Tazawa Lake Circle half of Lake Tazawa and continue on Prefectural Road 38. From here, follow the road along Tamagawa River northward. Pass through the mountainous road and head toward Hosenzan Lake. Akita Prefecture National Route 341 Tazawa Lake Tamagawa Follow National Route 341 along Tamagawa River at a leisurely pace. The river water is crystal clear and shimmers emerald green. As you proceed, the forest grows denser, and the sense of seclusion deepens. Akita Prefecture National Route 341 New Tamagawa Bridge We have arrived at the New Tamagawa Bridge. This arch bridge, spanning 153 meters in length, was completed in 1993. From the bridge, you can enjoy views of the clear waters of the Tamagawa River and the majestic natural landscape. Akita Prefecture Hosen Lake, Okami Bridge We have arrived at the Okami Bridge spanning Hosen Lake. We stop the motorcycle and gaze at the tranquil lake. The lake surface, surrounded by mountains, stretches out peacefully. The waters of Hosen Lake are clear and blue, making it a beautiful sight. This lake is an artificial lake created by the Tamagawa Dam. In front of the Okami Bridge, Mount Okami stands quietly. The scenery is so beautiful that it makes you want to take a deep breath. When you turn off the engine, the sounds of nature spread quietly. It is a silence as if time and sound have stopped. Akita Prefecture, Prefectural Road 321, Tazawako Town, Shikata We enter Prefectural Road 321. We enjoy the winding road surrounded by nature. Akita Prefecture National Route 105 Senboku City Nishiki Town There are a series of small villages with a relaxed atmosphere. The temperature is 27°C, and the strong sunlight makes it feel hot. Akita Prefecture National Route 105 Kitaakita City Manai Mori We have entered Kitaakita City. There is a line of snow jets. This is a winter road measure unique to snowy regions. Akita Prefecture National Route 105 Kayabashi Bridge We have reached the Kayabusa Bridge crossing the Ani River. This is a quiet area surrounded by beech forests. Akita Prefecture, Kitaakita City, Ani Ginzan, Shimoshinmachi We have passed through the green road and entered the village of Kitaakita City. After a long night drive, it’s time for our first meal. To avoid the busy hours, we will have an early lunch. Akita Prefecture, Akita Inland Line, Ani-guchi Station We have decided on a restaurant inside Ani-guchi Station. Akita Prefecture, Koguma-tei We chose Koguma-tei, which is popular among locals. The menu features a variety of dishes that make use of Akita’s local specialties. We chose the karaage set meal. The mayonnaise sauce is made with Akita’s famous iburigakko. It goes perfectly with the fragrant karaage. Akita Prefecture, National Route 105, Aji Mizunashi-cho We were able to have lunch at just the right time. The karaage set meal caused our blood sugar levels to rise sharply. Akita Prefecture Kumagera Echo Line Aji Maeda From National Route 105, we entered the “Kumagera Echo Line.” This road is a mountainous route leading to Aji Maeda. We proceeded westward along a quiet mountain road surrounded by fresh greenery. Akita Prefecture National Route 285 Kamikoani Village We entered National Route 285 and headed toward the Oga Peninsula. The road was peaceful, with views of the river along the way. Akita Prefecture National Route 285 Rokuyemonzawa Bridge Enter National Route 285 and drive for about 10 minutes. The quiet road continues, surrounded by fresh greenery. Akita Prefecture National Route 285 Gokome Town Drive along National Route 285 and enter Gokome Town. Gokome Town is a place that prospered as a market town. It is a peaceful town with a wide open sky. Akita Prefecture Prefectural Route 298 Oga Bridge Oga Bridge connects Oga Village and Katagami City. It is a large bridge spanning the Yarogata Adjustment Pond, with a total length of approximately 485 meters. You can feel the breeze as you drive through the expansive scenery. Akita Prefecture Cherry Blossom and Rapeseed Flower Road This is the Cherry Blossom and Rapeseed Flower Road. The flowers were no longer in bloom as it was past the season. During the peak season, there is a tunnel of flowers stretching for approximately 11 kilometers. Akita Prefecture Cherry Blossom and Rapeseed Flower Road End Point We drove through the Cherry Blossom and Rapeseed Flower Road. I would like to visit again during cherry blossom season. Akita Prefecture Prefectural Road 54 Oga City Kakamizaki Narasawa We entered Oga City in Akita Prefecture. In front of us, the symbol of the Oga Peninsula, Hanazuka Mountain, came into view. The road continues with few buildings and a good view. Akita Prefecture Nyudo-zaki Kanpu-yama Line Oga City We have reached the foot of Mt. Kanpu. We are entering the uphill road of the Nyudo-zaki Kanpu-yama Line. Akita Prefecture Nyudo-zaki Kanpu-yama Line Oga City Mt. Kanpu The altitude is gradually increasing. The view suddenly opens up from the open terrain. We will soon reach the summit of Mt. Kanpu. Akita Prefecture Kanpu Mountain Parking Lot We have arrived at the Kanpu Mountain parking lot. You can see the vast reclaimed land and the windmills along the coast. On a clear day, you can also see Mt. Chokai. It is a quiet and powerful landscape where the sea and the land meet. The “Oath Pillars,” engraved with the pride of Oga, stand quietly. Akita Prefecture Kanpu Mountain Revolving Observation Deck Parking Lot We have climbed to the parking lot of the Kanpu Mountain Revolving Observation Deck. It is higher than the summit parking lot, offering an even wider view. You can overlook the reclaimed land and the coastline of Akita. It is a grand panorama that stretches all the way to the distant horizon. From the rotating observation deck, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the spectacular scenery. There is a cute Namahage statue that embodies the essence of Akita. It is a special place that will leave a deep impression on your travel memories. Akita Prefecture County Road 55, Oga City, Hanabusa Mountain Yokodori I lingered at Hanpu Mountain, enjoying the wonderful scenery. I descended County Road 55 and headed toward the Sea of Japan. With the afterglow of Hanpu Mountain in my heart, I set off on the next road. Akita Prefecture, National Route 101, Oga City, Funakawa Port Himizu I arrived at the coast of Oga City on National Route 101. The Sea of Japan spread out before me, and the sea breeze blew pleasantly. It’s a pleasant coastal road. I make a slight detour. I stop by a famous spot on the Oga Peninsula. Akita Prefecture Giant Namahage When you think of Akita, you think of the giant Namahage statue. It is 15 meters tall and weighs 20 tons, giving it a powerful presence. It is a symbol of Namahage culture and was erected in 1999 as a tourist attraction. Despite its imposing appearance, it has a friendly expression. Visiting gods from all over the country are introduced here. Akita Prefecture, Akita Tenno Line, Katagami City, Tenno Nakahama Mountain This is the windmill road visible from Hanazama Mountain. The straight line of windmills creates an impressive scene. It reminds me of the Otorui Wind Farm in Hokkaido. Akita Prefecture, Port Road, Ferry Terminal Area We are driving near the Akita Port Ferry Terminal. A large ship of the New Japan Sea Ferry is docked here. This is a relay port for the route connecting Hokkaido and Honshu. Akita Prefecture, Akita City, Toyoiwa Toyomaki Utsujiri Quietly driving along the rice field road at dusk. As the sun sets, the sky and earth are dyed in soft colors. Akita Prefecture, National Route 105, Daisen City, Yamato-no Returned to Daisen City while it was still bright. The daylight hours are longer, so it’s still bright even before 6 PM. Akita Prefecture, Prefectural Route 31, Yokote City, Ekimae-cho We arrived at the Yokote Station area. There are restaurants and hotels lined up, and access is convenient. We headed to our lodging for the night. Akita Prefecture, Ou Main Line, Yokote Station Front We stayed at the capsule hotel right in front of Yokote Station. Akita Prefecture, Yokote Plaza Hotel PLAZA EAST CABIN The capsule-shaped rooms are arranged in two tiers. The low price and hot spring facilities were the deciding factors. Climbing into the upper-tier capsules requires a bit of skill. It feels a bit like an adventure. The environment is more than sufficient for sleeping. Akita Prefecture, Yokote City, Maido In the evening, we enjoyed a local izakaya. After driving all night, the alcohol really hit us. Akita specialty, miso-pickled platter. We indulged in the Yokote yakisoba we had been craving. The yolk added a smooth and rich flavor. To be continued in the next part…

2025年6月7日の秋田ツーリング【前編】です。
深夜0時すぎ、茨城県古河市を出発し、田沢湖・宝仙湖・男鹿半島・寒風山を巡り、横手市へ。
湖と海、そして山が織りなす静かな絶景に癒されながら、東北の自然を1泊2日で走り抜けました。

気温は深夜23℃から昼の30℃まで変化。
ブナ林の静けさ、湖面の青さ、海岸線の風と、移り変わる6月の景色を400Xで体感した一日です。

  1. 6/10に似たようなルートで走ってきました。 15年以上、秋田・男鹿半島を目指して走ってますが飽きませんねぇ😅 今回 宿はトレイルインというコンテナ型のホテルにしましたが、勝手は良いものの近くに居酒屋などが無い立地が残念です。😢

  2. 今夏に行きます😊裏ビーナス攻略は気を付けてね。前半は凄く良いけど、
    後半は山道だから😂
