ohio wow how We are here right now so this is the north area of the island of Kyushu and the plan from now on is basically to drive south so we’re going to be driving to this coast on this side and we’re going to be driving south probably on this side and then we’re going to make it all the way north we’re not really sure about the route we’re going to take yet but that’s the plan in general we’re still discussing on whether to go uh to the southern island of Okinawa or not not sure about that yet but yep there you got it okay it’s so cold this morning it’s 12° C right now not 12 10° look at that you see all the steam here that’s all the steam that comes out from the hot springs look at that incredible there are so many hot springs in this town look at the sea of clouds wow that’s absolutely beautiful and apparently it’s not that common to see it here it’s pretty special so we’re lucky oh was a dead animal on the side of the road we’re leaving the town of Euin behind now and we’re heading south to this town called Ashikita it is actually located on the west coast of Kyushu and uh we’re going to be riding in total for what what was it 220 km more or less it’s going to take us about what uh 5 hours but um today we’re going to be uh visiting some awesome places actually I would say one of the top places for motorcycle riders here in Japan it’s actually the Kuju National Park Moya specifically Mount Ao to get there we’re going to be taking this highway called the Yamanami Highway and I got to say the name highway can be a bit misleading because it’s not really a highway it’s more kind of this winding country road with a stunning views um so yeah that’s where we’re going now right now it’s such a sunny day today oh this feels great we’ve had quite a bit of rain in the last couple of days that when the sun comes out it instantly puts a smile on my face it’s cold but sunny wow man this view look at that steam coming over there it’s a very small town it looks like a very far away town and you got all this steam uh coming from there the hot springs this little mountain towns in Japan are just so nice get to enjoy this hot springs oh it’s just great wow is that Mount Yufu i thought we left it behind but maybe not yeah manami Highway kumamoto Aso we’re headed that way i feel so so tiny next to these mountains woo whoa there’s a deer right here hey buddy you want to cross hey buddy oh there’s a couple of there there the deer like the sound of my Apollo my little guy here oh there’s a very big family look at that two over there two more over there oh do you hear that they have this very loud cry okay I’m gonna let them be you see this line of cars here i believe these are the cars of the people who go climbing up this mountain look at that keeps on going oh wow look at that nonstop that’s Mount Aso over there look at that we can only see the bottom part of the mountain the upper part it’s completely covered what a pity mount Aso is actually an active volcano it is one of the largest active volcanoes in the whole world and the largest in Japan you can actually get pretty close to the crater when the conditions are safe we’re going to see if it’s the case today we have no idea we’re just going to go there and see what the situation is wow look at that man this this place is just beautiful look at all this vast land there’s nothing around except for that huge mountain wow wow this is amazing asos Caldera right over there wow man wow look at that look at that that’s a whole town down there in that caldera bunch of houses a bunch of farmland beautiful nowadays over 70,000 people live in that calera there is not such a big community living in any other calera in the world stampoo is we were here actually back in 2021 i had the stem from that time versus the one from today for Wow we can see some of the peaks of Mount As over there there are five in total and the Kuju mountain range at the very end this is unbelievable for me it’s still like truly impressive to think that there’s actually people living in the caldera wow so Wow this is just incredible this view look at those huge walls of mountains over there unbelievable we are actually in the caldera right now this is pretty amazing i mean this is just a very big town uh here you would say it’s a normal city except well we’re actually in the caldera a caldera that used to be a huge lake thousands of years ago unbelievable and uh well right now let me see that right now we’re actually heading towards the Nakadak crater which is actually Mount Aos uh active crater when the conditions are right when the conditions are safe you can actually make it uh pretty close to the crater we’re not sure if the conditions are right today but we’re just going to go there and see what it is like some of the peaks of Mount Aso are a bit more visible right now you can see those over there and that one with a very weird shape at the very end over there pretty interesting that one over there look at all those pointy tips pretty interesting look at that there are horses over there i wonder if these are wild horses 92 maybe these are not completely wild horses wow wow oh my god i was surprised by the view but now I’m really surprised by the number of cars there are here this is crazy they’ve got horses down there look at that there are actually two tiny lakes here those places are really really beautiful but there are certain spots that become so touristy that uh I mean they become really overcrowded wow what in photos look at that beautiful spot definitely that’s the crater right there look at that ah this is where you book a helicopter ride look at that i was seeing that helicopter for a while and I was wondering if it was like to monitor the volcano or if it was just you know to sell flights for tourists here yep you can actually fly around the crater since the road is open 400 yen for motorcycles okay let’s go no drones allowed hi hi i’m a bit confused is it free or maybe we have to pay up here wow how lucky we are it’s open it literally said no pedestrians and well there are pedestrians here this is where we pay hi Hi boss okay well I don’t know why but I read at the entrance it said no pedestrians then I saw all these people and the guy just told us that actually it’s free if you walk all the way up there it’s a 30 minute walk not too bad i mean and the view is nice but I mean we got the bike so much better right wow look at this place i mean the vegetation really changed completely you know it was super green everywhere and now you get up here very close to the crater and as you can see it’s like uh the vegetation is quite dry you see all this uh volcanic rocks and stuff wow yeah there’s certain smell there this like sulfur smell i’m not sure if these are gases from the volcano or if these are clouds this must be the gases wow incredible fun fact about this volcano Mount this is actually one of the only one of the few active volcanoes where you can get this close to its crater these are all toxic gases coming from that crater you can see a bit just the lake down there it’s truly beautiful and it’s amazing that something this beautiful can be that dangerous jesse pipe wow how’s the guri try Japanese guri is really good i love it i was so hungry that I finished this whole plate in less than 10 minutes youtube yeah yeah yeah i don’t Ready double i do okay we’re now heading down south to the town called Ashi what was it ashi ashikita yeah that’s it and we’re actually uh driving on this road named after the famous Moto GP American rider Kenny Robert so this is basically the Kenny road this road was uh named after Kennedy as a tribute to his achievements and to his contribution to the motorcycle industry especially well here in Japan and uh he seems to be an inspiration to many young riders uh here in Japan so this road was well named after him pretty cool huh this is a pretty winding road and there are a whole lot of like u small roads on the side like here they take you up the mountain but they seem to be closed right now i don’t know if they’re completely abandoned like this one right here well that one looks abandoned could be some pretty fun roads to ride this one here as well wonovich we made it ka is already checking us in at the hotel oh I’m quite tired need to take all the bags up to the room take a shower and I think I’m not even going to eat tonight i’m just so tired no discount direct dark Rocky that thumbs up mat
