Koenji: Tokyo’s BEST Vintage Shopping & Hidden Bakery (Bike Adventure 🚲)
[Music] hey guys today we are riding to Coeni one of
my favorite neighborhoods in Tokyo there’s a nice vintage store I like to shop at in
the area and today I’m going to check if I can find something cool there before we
head to Cayen there is this coffee shop I’ve been waiting to visit so I decided
to make a quick stop on the way we are having a coffee and
a cookie at Paddler’s Cafe it’s a really cute spot close to my house located
in a quiet residential area the coolest part is that they have a bike parking and it’s a super
chill green area outside the cookie was amazing coconut flavor with chocolate
and nuts a pretty cool combo not too sweet here you can also try different coffee beans
from Indonesia Ethiopia and Honduras give me something heat heat every time I arrive in Koenji
I like to take this road it’s full of small Ysakayas under the bridge Koenji got this super chill retro vibe lots of
vintage shops cool cafes and random life music spots everywhere it’s like one of those places
you just stumble into and end up spending the whole day without even planning to i love this
back alley normally we come here to eat omur at a specific restaurant it’s the best one in
town in my opinion today I’m stopping by Tempo a really local vintage store where you can
find clothes starting from 105 yen i think I got lucky a brand new New Balance jacket for
830 yen and these three shirts for only 105 yen each i basically spend the whole day without
eating so it’s time for a snack before we head to the bakery on days like this I try to
eat at least something healthy because in Japan if you’re not careful you end up eating
a bunch of rice and fried food from the conveni it’s been a while since I had grapes since
they’re kind of pricey here in Japan [Music] this is a cool local bakery
i end up chosing an anchovi bread a honey crusted croissant and
some whole grain bread to take home you realize how much a simple bread with cheese
becomes something special after leaving your home country nature here is powerful and strong
this day was extremely windy as you guys can see see hey wait wait wait
that was a good call babe
Today we bike through Koenji’s secret backstreets to hunt for vintage treasures at Tampopo Vintage, refuel, but before a quick break for an iced coffee & cookies at Paddlers Coffee, by the end of the day we stop by at a hidden local bakery.
