🇯🇵 Cycling from Fukui to Mikuni | May 2025 [4K]

This video documents a cycling journey from the Fukui Prefectural Budokan, following the Kuzuryu River towards Mikuni in Sakai City, Fukui Prefecture. The ride took place on a hot day in May 2025. Upon entering Mikuni Town, the Mikuni Festival (三国祭), one of the Hokuriku region’s major festivals with a history spanning over 300 years, was underway. Due to the festival crowds and street closures, cycling was not feasible through the town center. Therefore, the bicycle was walked through the festival area to Mikuni Station. The festival is renowned for its towering floats adorned with warrior dolls, parading through the narrow streets accompanied by traditional music.

この動画は、福井県立武道館から坂井市三国町まで、九頭竜川沿いを走ったサイクリングの記録です。 2025年5月の暑い日に撮影されました。三国町に入ると、300年以上の歴史を持つ北陸三大祭の一つ「三国祭」が開催されており、町中は多くの人で賑わっていました。祭りの混雑と通行規制のため、自転車を押して三国駅まで進みました。三国祭は、武者人形を乗せた高さ約6.5メートルの山車が、三味線や笛、太鼓のお囃子とともに狭い町並みを練り歩くことで知られています。
