踏切もある廃線歩道 高麗川ポッポ道

There is a railroad crossing here, but this is already the site of an abandoned railway line. There is a sign that says “Stop and look.” Some of the text has disappeared. You can take a good look at the railroad crossing. That’s nice. 「”Train Play」 My name is Ayako Suzukawa and boy is my son Hitachi. Today I am in front of Komagawa Station in Hidaka City, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. I came here because I heard there are abandoned railway tracks around here. As I walked along the tracks the fence got lower so I could see the railway. I can see the railroad crossing. The name of this crossing is “School Street.”Good! E231 Series The name of this crossing is “School Street.”Good! Hachiko Line Let’s Go. There’s a lot of smoke. Right is good, left is good. There is a branch. This is also an abandoned railway line. The grass has completely grown. The abandoned railway line looks like a forest. Poppo Road I walk towards Hidaka City Hall. Is this “Poppo Road” the so-called abandoned railway line? There are still railway signals there that were previously in use. I wonder if that’s being kept for signal parts? This crossing name is Uenodai Crossing. Right is good, left is good This place is between two railroad crossings. Isn’t that a railroad crossing that’s no longer in use? There is a railroad crossing here, but this is already the site of an abandoned railway line. And this is “Poppo Road”. This is also marked as a pedestrian-only road. Good. You can walk right where the railroad tracks were. This road still gives the impression that there was a railroad track there. The “Recheck” railway sign remains. Does this road end there? This width is also realistic That’s it It was connected to Komagawa Station from here. This track used to carry cement. There are no railroad crossing barriers left. The crossing machinery is still there. This is Poppo Road. There are quite a lot of people. Taking a walk in the evening? Is there a school up ahead? Isn’t this also the remains of a railroad crossing? This is also the remains of a railroad crossing, right? Isn’t that right? It’s a small crossing. There may not have been any railroad crossing machinery. A railroad crossing without warning lights He runs fast! Really fast! It’s a diagonal crossing. I think there was a type with a long barrier. Is this a railroad track? Isn’t the gauge a little too wide? Bury two and only on one side? Isn’t that the size? Good thing you noticed! That’s true! It was covered with grass and the old rails were not visible. This is a rail. The abandoned railway tracks continue on into the distance There is another railroad crossing nearby. Isn’t this also a railroad crossing? There’s a possibility of simple railroad crossing. There’s an old railroad sign. No walking allowed. No walking on the tracks. Wouldn’t it be easy to get onto the tracks around here? The train noise would have been loud. There are a lot of new houses. But were they built long ago? The abandoned railway line continues on and on. The abandoned railway tracks have become a part of everyday life. There are beautiful flower beds along the road. I wonder if Hidaka City is maintaining it? From here onwards it feels even more like an abandoned railway line. From here, suddenly the railroad tracks appear on the road. The tracks are still there. There is a sign that says “Stop and look.” Some of the writing on the sign has faded. At first glance it doesn’t look like an abandoned railway line. I was heading towards Komagawa Station. And on the other side it curves a little and heads towards the cement factory. You can get a good look at the railroad crossing. I like the fact that they’ve left it there. When a railway line is abandoned, the level crossings are often removed. This part has been left intentionally. What kind of sound was it making? No walking on the tracks You can read both “No walking on the tracks” and “No trespassing on the tracks.” From here on I’m walking on rails. Looking at the map now, it says that this is the Pacific Cement Saitama Factory West Gate Shipping Road. This must be old. Is there something written there? There is an explanation of Poppo Road. It’s very old. This promenade has been used as a railway line exclusively for the Pacific Cement Saitama plant since 1955. It was developed as a promenade in March 2009. It has become a path where children can walk safely and remember the time when trains ran along the road. There’s a sign saying no walking on the tracks! It is “Railway Crossing No. 3”. It’s number 3, so it’s close. Aren’t they number 1, 2, and 3 coming from that direction? There’s an explanatory sign here. After a long walk from the station, I saw a sign near Pacific Cement. The Pacific Cement Saitama factory is still in operation today. There was a Japanese sweets shop called Kameya close to the sign I saw earlier, so I decided to go in. This is a sweet that even people who don’t like red bean paste can enjoy. It contains Sayama matcha. That’s tea too. Monaka is delicious. This time, I walked along “Poppo-michi,” a promenade that uses the remains of an abandoned railway line near Komagawa Station in Hidaka City, Saitama Prefecture.
It’s really nice to see the railroad crossings and old signs still standing.
Why don’t you come and try it for yourself? I walked along the abandoned railway tracks in Hidaka City, Saitama Prefecture. Thank you.
