It’s mostly downhill all the way to JR Ōtsuki Station (our goal) ♪ A scenic spot is coming up soon Looks like it’s about half-covered with clouds ☁ Getting off the bike for a moment Mount Fuji seen over Lake Yamanaka ☁☁🗻 Back to downhill riding!! 🚴 Riding along and catching glimpses of Mt. Fuji over Lake Yamanaka ☁☁🗻 Filmed using an Insta360 X3 Yamanashi Prefectural Route 730 – Yamanakako-Oyama Line Panorama Point at Mt. Myojin, Lake Yamanaka Let’s fast-forward to Lake Yamanaka at 4x speed 💨 (You can skip ahead to Lake Yamanaka using the seek bar) From here it’s pretty much a straight shot — easy riding 🚴 Careful not to go too fast 🚴 Flat terrain for a while Yamanashi Prefectural Route 729 You can see Mt. Fuji from here Route 729 is also called Marimo Street The road along the north side of the lake is called ‘Marimo Street’, named after ‘Fuji Marimo’ that live in the eastern part of Lake Yamanaka Marimo usually live in cold, high-latitude places, but here at Lake Yamanaka… …it’s a bit of a miracle they live here! This is one of my favorite viewpoints Let’s keep rolling toward the lakeside 🚴 Passing the Lake Yamanaka Literature Forest There’s a walking path and some shade here 🌳 Rest stop area with a great view of Mt. Fuji Getting closer to the lakefront Taking a short break near the water 🧃 You can chill here for a bit while enjoying the view Back on the bike! 🚴💨 Lake Yamanaka cycling road Great view of Mt. Fuji across the water! Lots of people enjoying lakeside activities Some areas have lots of traffic—watch out! Crossing a little bridge Heading around the east side of the lake Quick stop at a scenic rest point Cruising through a peaceful lakeside area Here comes another view of Mt. Fuji ☁🗻 It’s a bit cloudy but still stunning Another rest area with benches People are out fishing and relaxing Riding past swan-shaped paddle boats 🦢 Lots of cute shops and cafes along the way Now passing the southern side of the lake Heading toward Oshino Village Crossing over to the next road segment This section is narrow, ride carefully Going through a residential area Small uphill section coming up! Almost there—just a little more climbing! Now we’re back to a gentle downhill Cruising with the wind in my face 😄 Taking a quick break at a quiet corner Final downhill stretch!
