【in大島温泉ホテル】三原山と裏砂漠を登山、サイクリングで泉水の切通し/ぶらっとハウスを巡る1泊旅。
Hello everyone. This time, I’m going on a trip to Izu Oshima, a remote island off Tokyo. Izu Oshima is the largest island in the Izu Islands. It takes two hours by high-speed jet boat from Takeshiba Terminal in Tokyo. We arrived at Okada Port, which has a beautiful glass terminal. There is also a port called Motomachi Port in the center of Izu Oshima. The purpose of this trip is the symbol of the island, Mt. Mihara. We take a bus that leaves from the port about once an hour. The fare can only be paid in cash or with PayPay. You can also travel by rental car or bicycle. However, there are many slopes, so if you rent a bicycle, it seems that an electric one is better. It is about two hours from Tokyo and you can see the lush nature. We arrived at “Mihara Mountain Summit”. We walk through the lush trees and go to the observation plaza. The stairs are quite steep. Now we are going to climb Mt. Mihara. We bought a memorial badge at the shop. (I collect them quietly) Let’s go! ! The situation of the eruption at that time is written on it. Lava like a rope. Very light. Volcanic shelter This is a shelter to protect yourself from volcanic rocks. The lava that flowed in the 1986 eruption can be seen as black streaks continuing from the mountain surface. It’s amazing how plants and creatures can grow so well in a place like this. At first, the path was flat, but the slope gradually became steeper. It feels like the wind is getting stronger little by little. Take a break. “Mihara Shrine” If the conditions are good, you can see Mt. Fuji from the torii gate. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see it on this day. After praying, we return to the original path. It is called “Godzilla Rock” because it resembles Godzilla! It is also popular as a photo spot. Since the wind is too strong, we enter the crater observation deck. First, we decide to eat the lunch we bought at Okada Port. The rock seaweed rice ball was delicious. It had plum and salmon inside. My husband said that the fried chicken was very delicious! ! Now, let’s go around the crater counterclockwise. At this point, my legs are sore. I could see “Toshima” faintly. I arrived at the central fire pit at the summit of Mt. Mihara. It is a huge hole about 300 to 350 m in diameter and about 200 m deep. There are stones scattered at my feet, making it very difficult to walk. Can you feel the strength of the wind?! Occasionally, there were places where white steam was spewing out. I went to the Ura Desert. It is the only desert in Japan. It is as beautiful as glass. There were whitish round stones like these. I climbed further. My feet were unsteady. In some places, some vegetation had started to regenerate. I had climbed quite a bit. I went down. I fell once, so please be careful. I want to go to the hot spring soon! It’s 2 km to the Oshima Onsen Hotel! There are rocks of various shapes lined up in the Geo Rock Garden. This is the “Komorebi Tunnel” and a large puddle. It’s a place where the mind is calm. I finally arrived at the Oshima Onsen Hotel! I want to go to the hot spring soon to soothe my tired feet. After the hot spring, I came to the rooftop. At night , the stars looked beautiful. Even shooting stars. Today, I’m heading to Motomachi Port to rent a bicycle. My bicycle trip has begun! I’ve come to the seaside. I stocked up on sweets at Buratto House! It was a rich soft serve ice cream. I headed to Izumitsu no Kiridoshi, where I had camellia jam gelato . A magnificent wooden path that looks like it came out of a Ghibli movie. I pedaled my bike a little and moved forward. I arrived at Hajikama Shrine. A magnificent cedar tree was growing. The trip is nearing the end. It was a good holiday where I was able to get in touch with nature. I took the Motomachi Port ferry back to Takeshiba. Thank you for watching.
