This time, I visited the “Christmas Market in Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse” from the evening of December 8 (Fri.) through the night!
Admission is free for high school students and younger until Friday, December 8. Therefore, on this last day, the market was crowded with high school students.
In this issue, we will introduce the congestion of “Christmas Market in Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse,” which is very crowded on weekends, and how to avoid the congestion.
At 3:30 p.m., it was only a 10-minute wait to enter the venue, but by 4:30 p.m., the line was growing longer and longer.
Then, at 5:00 p.m., when the YORNOYO 2023 projection mapping started at the Shinko Chuo Plaza, the flow of people into the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse increased rapidly, and by 5:00 p.m., there was an hour-long wait to enter…
The best strategy to avoid such crowds is to obtain admission tickets before they become too crowded and re-enter through the re-entry gate!
The wristbands that serve as admission tickets change color daily, and on this particular day they were purple.
Our recommendation is to enter the venue before the Christmas tree is lit up at 4:00 PM. You will be able to enter the venue relatively quickly, the venue will be empty, and you will be able to see the moment the lights come on, even though it is still light out. This year, the lights will change every 30 minutes for 5 minutes, so you can also enjoy the process until it gets dark.
If you enjoy an early meal, it will not be long before it gets dark at 5:00 p.m. You will be able to see the beautiful Christmas lights shining in the night sky!
If you do not want to spend time inside the venue, you can go out and enjoy the surrounding tourist attractions at the adjacent “Bay Walk Market 2023” from December 8 (Fri.) to December 10 (Sun.). Also, if you go a little further to Marine & Walk Yokohama, you can enjoy the beautiful illumination of “MARINE & WALK YOKOHAMA Merry Mellow Xmas” now being held there.
