2432 Brompton Ride to Say Goodbye to My Dog: Cycling & Camping in Tateyama by Blaireau
I’ve arrived at Tateyama Station. I have plans to camp here today. I’ll first eat lunch at Tomaya Restaurant. As it is close to a fishing port, the seafood bowls are so delicious. With my stomach full, I depart. I see the Tateyama Sunset Pier very soon. I’m going to take a little detour. It’s a race against the kid’s bike. The last time I came here was in summer. Looking in the direction I came from. A short break. After all, my camping backpack is heavy. Recently, my dog (Blaireau #2) passed away from a sudden illness. I’m still having trouble sorting out my feelings. I came here to try to sort it out while camping. I arrived at the Odaiba Seaside Garden Campground. Setting up the tent. I finished. I pegged it down tightly because it was going to be windy. Filling the carrier with water. I finally took a break. There was still time before evening, so I decided to visit the Sunosaki Lighthouse. The campground as seen from the lighthouse. The day is getting darker. I’ll take the Sarutahiko coffee I brought from home. Watching the sunset and remembering my dog. For almost 10 years I was with her. It brings back many memories. The next morning was clear and sunny. When the last piece of wood burned out, I finally felt like I could say goodbye to her. Thank you, Odaiba Seaside Garden Campground.
