【秩父の旅】Into the Nature of Chichibu | Quiet Moments Among Mountains and Rivers
Today we’re going to Nagatoro in Chichibu. During the morning rush hour, the station is filled with commuters heading to work and school. We’re in luck — it’s another beautiful day today. A very old-fashioned train control panel. A train advertisement full of youthful energy. We’ve finally arrived at Nagatoro Station. To get around more easily, I think I’ll rent a bicycle. 1,000 yen for 3 hours. A passport is required. I’m so glad I finally got the bicycle rented. Arrived at the Hodosan Ropeway Station. The ropeway can take you straight to the mountaintop. Since time is tight today, I won’t hike up — I’ll take the ropeway to the summit instead. In autumn, Hodosan is covered with beautiful red leaves — it’s truly stunning. I’ll come back again in autumn to shoot it once more. Time to head out and take the train! The yellow train is really cute. The ropeway is very smooth, and the scenery along the way is absolutely beautiful. Below us is a dense forest—I really love this feeling. We’ve reached the top of Hodosan, and the blue sky is absolutely stunning. Let’s go up to the sky and enjoy the view of Hodosan together. I really like this shot—it shows the distant mountain peaks clearly. People gather under the trees to rest and chat. The shop at the mountaintop is also very unique. The shop is run by these two elderly women. The one with white hair is the mother, and the one with gray hair is her daughter. They’re both amazing. They live down in the town at the foot of the mountain. They’re open every day from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
