iman. Wow. Are you I need to do my hair. Okay, 7:20 in the morning. Time to get going. Hi, Ozai Mas. Oh, it was the other way. Okay, here we go. Such a cute dog. I’m so so excited about today. I’m really really excited about being here in Shikoku. Chikoku is actually the smallest island of Japan. four main islands. We’ve been to Hokkaido. We’ve been in Honshu, which is the biggest island. We haven’t been in Kyushu, but we’re planning to visit later on this trip. And well, Okinawa, it’s another island. It’s a very small island. So, it’s not considered one of the main island of uh Japan. Even though Shikoku is an island, it’s actually connected to Honshu, the main island uh by three bridges. And uh one of them was actually the world’s longest suspension bridge until 2022. It’s the one connecting Kobe to Aajima, another island, and then uh Shikoku. But we didn’t take any of those bridges. Instead, we decided to take the ferry here. Oh, it’s a beautiful day. We’ve had amazing weather these past few days. We might have a little bit of rain uh in the next couple of days. We’ll see how we’ll how we’ll manage. But um anyways, today today is going to be a very fun day of riding. We’re going to be doing what it’s called the superarindo in Japanese, which actually translate into the super forest road. And it’s basically 87.7 kilometers of public forest roads in the mountains. Most of it is actually off-road trails. So, it’s going to be so so much fun. Many people say this is actually the longest off-road trail in Japan. Lots of bikers come here to Shikoku just for that trail. We’re here and of course, we’re not going to be missing that. But in terms of um our destination today, we’re heading towards the city of Kochi. So Kochi, it’s about um what 200 kilometers away from here. We’re not going to get there today. We’ll probably be stopping somewhere in the rural area outside of Kochi and find a place to sleep right there. We saw there is a writer’s house there and I think we’re going to end up staying there. We’ll see. It’s going to be so much fun. I’m really really excited. Beautiful sunny day, but you can definitely tell summer is over. It’s definitely a bit chilly early in the morning. There’s no one on the streets this early in the morning. This is not like a very rural area of Shikoku. We’re still like in a city. But even like that, you know, there’s a lot of green everywhere. We’re surrounded by this very big mountains here. And I mean, we’ve got green 360° around me. I thought this road here was one way, but apparently it isn’t. Look at how they like wrap the grass they cut here. I don’t think we’re going to be finding any convenience stores once we enter the super reindo forest road. Uh so we’re doing a mandatory stop here for coffee. Somebody’s sleepy. No, I’m okay. Cheers. The best moment of the morning. Definitely. foreto. Oh my. Look at that. What do they have here? This is something I really like about Japan. They have this small stands right by the road. And uh sometimes you find fruits, sometimes you find vegetables. The other day we found um some sort of fish. Look here. They have I’m not sure what this is. They’re all 100 yen. I think this is yuzu. A Japanese citrus bamboo. Oh, this is sugar cane. This is not bamboo. Shishito peppers. Cucumbers. How much? 100 yen for these cucumbers. Now, one cucumber is 100 yen in at a supermarket. And you just put the money somewhere and you take your stuff. So cool. I would love to find one of those selling some fruits or something that we can buy for today because I don’t think we’re going to find um any restaurants or anything along the way. Okay. Well, let’s keep going. Look at that. There’s other small stands here. It seems closed though. Kami Katsu Town. Super window 6 kilometers. Well, there it is. Super forest road. This trail, the super forest trail, is actually accessible from different parts, but we’re going to we’re going to do it from the beginning, from the started point. Wa, look at the river. It’s beautiful. Yeah, we’re going to do it from the beginning because I mean it is one of the most famous roads in Japan. We are here. So why not, you know? Let’s just do the whole thing. The full 87.7 kilometers to be exact. Yeah, this road is quite narrow. Look at this place. It’s beautiful. Should be here. And of course, there’s lots of people already. Look at that. Everybody needs to get a photo here. Going. Yeah, we should definitely get a photo here. Wait. Um, how can we park the bikes? This way. We are officially starting the forest road in Shikoku. This is going to be epic. Woohoo. So, as you can see, this first part is going to be a paved road and maybe farther ahead is going to be mostly gravel roads. I can’t believe this is a two-way road. It’s a super narrow. According to Google Maps, it takes about 5 hours from the started point all the way to the finish line of this forest road. But I mean, 5 hours for 87 kilometers, that seems a bit too much. I’m not sure if it’s because the conditions of the road are going to be really bad or what, but I’ll guess we’ll just have to find out. Look at that. There’s a bus stop here. There’s a bus stop here, you guys. Yeah, there there’s a few houses here, so I guess it makes sense. It means we’re not yet in the most remote part of the forest road. Look at that. There’s signs everywhere. Super Forest Road this way. So, I guess we won’t get lost here. Man, look at the size of those rocks there. Oh, this is amazing. Whoa, look at There’s an abandoned car here. How the hell did that car make it there? No idea. I mean, look at this. There’s this huge wall here. Oh. Yeah. What the what the What’s up? Coron. What up? Oh, what a cute. Look how high up we are. The views are beautiful. We are here in the middle of nowhere. Look at that. This This is the national road here. And we are here. And since this is where the real fun begins, there’s another road down there, a paved road. Oh, it’s wet. The road is wet. We haven’t had rain in a few days, but still wet. One more foreign. Oo, the road is super rocky here. You don’t want to fall there. Definitely not. Oh, we got to go check the views from here. Wow, look at that. Beautiful. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. There’s CRF here. This seems to be a very popular bike. And this one probably the most popular bike here in Japan for going off for off-roading. And another CRF over there. This is quite the popular road, especially today being a Sunday and tomorrow being a holiday, a national holiday. Woohoo! Wa! Super rocky. I picture this road more like um gravel road, you know. Uh but there are some parts here and there where they’re actually pretty big rocks, pretty loose as well. So, it’s really slippery. Like here for instance. Look at that. Whoa. Whoa. Super rocky. Oh, look at that. There’s a Tory gate here. There’s must be some sort of ginger up there. Some sort of shrine. This brings back memories of when we were riding in Colombia. Oh, it’s getting hot. Temperatures are going up. Oh, somebody fell here. Oh, yeah. This road is super slippery. I mean, he was lucky there’s this barrier here because otherwise the fall there is not pretty. Woo! That was a big rock. Woo! Man, it’s really slippery. A lot of loose rocks. Woohoo. Oh, eat there. I think I hurt my knee with this rock. Run. Oh Sleep. Okay. I was lucky. Look at the drop here. No damage controls. Okay. I hurt my finger too. It’s going to be okay. I think I’m going to stick to the right side because they are not barrier whatsoever here. And the drop is not pretty. Let’s go. Oh, it hurts. My knee hurts. What?ch. Oh, he’s having some coffee and lunch with this view. Look at that. A psycho. What a perfect spot. Psycho. Cyclist. Huge landslide. Oh, Columbia. What’s this? We Well, look at that. Apparently, from here on, it’s pretty tough. Lots of people fall off their bikes here. Whoa, whoa, whoa. What was that? Some sort of bird. Whoa. Banana sandwich. Onigirito cork. Oh man. Wow. Huge landslide. Wow, man. That is definitely one of the biggest landslides I’ve seen. Wow. Somebody went straight into that ditch. Oh, this road demands the Best of the best of everyone here so far. Super forest road one or zero. There’s a small cafe here. Look at that. Nobody has a lot of bags like we do. Oh, we made it to a pave road. Ah, this might be the end of the off-road trail. It’s not the end though of the super forest road. Still keeps going. Well, I think we made it. This is the end of the super forest road. Woohoo! They can right here. Riders in. Well, this looks very interesting. camping. So there isolation. Look at this place. It’s so cool. This is a common area. And we’re going to get a beer. Which one do you want? What do they have? They have Triple triple. Superchech. So thumbs up.

Ori、
